My comment wasn't a dig at Gosling, I just don't think he has enough presence in midfield yet, and could work well as a 3rd centre mid. He doesn't seem to have much to his game apart from arriving late into the box well.

Thing I don't understand is, Obertan isn't exactly the hardest worker on the pitch. Often can be found standing around when not in possession. That is not a dig at Obertan, but Pardew needs to show some consistency.

I think Gosling can only work in the Premiership as a 5 man midfield.
