Obertan isn't a young lad though, he's nearly 23, and played for Man U. The problem with Obertan is that we have other options which would make more sense considering he isn't performing.

Jonas is getting slated also, Obertan is getting slated as he has done it al season. Jonas was good up until Marv got injured and there was no longer competition.

My comment wasn't a dig at Gosling, I just don't think he has enough presence in midfield yet, and could work well as a 3rd centre mid. He doesn't seem to have much to his game apart from arriving late into the box well.

Thing I don't understand is, Obertan isn't exactly the hardest worker on the pitch. Often can be found standing around when not in possession. That is not a dig at Obertan, but Pardew needs to show some consistency.

I think Gosling can only work in the Premiership as a 5 man midfield.
