  1. Is that a dig at me, for what for fucksake? Can cunts not talk on in this place without others being absolute petty bastards? I never meant how many players in the PL, I just mean we're the home of the fucking PL. Take out England, make a name for yourself, whatever. Jesus fucking Christ. I sincerely apologise for saying Croatia will possibly raise their game. Of course they won't raise their game. They've never had any players ply their trade in the PL, what on earth was I talking about. Mea Culpa. Can't wait for this WC to be over, you can all go back to pretending not to support England anymore. There was nae need for that, but that was cathartic. That's a bit arrogant way to think, like a remnant of the imperial times. Their star players play for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus while your star plays for Tottenham. Most of their squad play in the biggest leagues in Europe while you have squad players from the PL top six because they need homegrown players. I have a hard time imagining Modric, Rakitic, Mandzukic or even Perisic thinking that's it, I've now made it as a footballer after skipping past Ashley Young and Harry Maguire and then putting the ball past Jordan Pickford. Their national team has also been at least as successful during their brief existence as the great Three Lions from the home of the football despite having similar population to the greater Birmingham area.
  2. Lovren plays in the PL, Modric and Corluka used to play. Anyone else? I don't have facts and can't be arsed to check but seems like they have a very low number of PL players for a decent European side.
  3. I don't know, that's one of the dumbest questions I've ever seen here but at least it's not leaving the atmosphere.
  4. Get a wage? What? Managers of the England national team get paid, right?

Good, hope he is the only one.
  6. Yeah, I forgot to mention that I thought this squad was probably better than the 2014 and 2010 squads.
  7. *Coutinho *Hazard *Firmino To answer your question, I think Brazil has been going through a "lack" of talent for like a decade now if you don't count Neymar. Looking at their squads in 2014 and 2010 in Wikipedia and their forwards in 2014 were Neymar, Hulk, Fred, Bernard and Jo. 2010 it was Robinho, Luis Fabiano, Nilmar and Grafite. That's just pure garbage compared to the 1994-2006 WC squads unless nostalgia messes with my memory.
  8. Hope he sits on the lead He will but Mbappe might save him on a counter.

    England

He hardly impacted the group stage though(Poland aside), he barely played against Japan and Senegal and it didn't stop people from believing they'd win. Also with how Colombia played i don't think it would have made a massive difference, James is a player who needs the ball and Colombia hardly had any of it in the final third for much of the game. Of course missing their star player changed everything for Colombia. There's just no way they would have played the defensive 4-3-2-1 if James was fit. Everything goes through him and having him fit and playing probably raises the confidence levels of others too.

You don't get the best keeper of the tournament for one performance. Alisson and Muslera have both conceded just one goal, Olsen has three clean sheets. Can't really put Pickford above Lloris, Courtois or Subasic either and I'm likely forgetting some obvious ones that have been knocked out. Pickford is up there and has a chance if he/England finish strong but it really isn't sewn up.

Keeper of the tournament for making a great save on a shot that might have gone wide and saving one penalty? Not a single clean sheet either despite questionable opponents. Sewn up imo.
  12. Some ref might have sent off Henderson as he clearly saw his little headbutt ffs. Tried to google the incident but for some reason couldn't find anything mentioning it. If you still have access to the game, rewind to when the play clock is around 55.20.
  13. Yup, that goal was all Lukaku despite him not touching the ball.

You’ll have a hard time breaking them down. Three lines of defenders on 4-4-2 sitting deep and they are great at set pieces on both ends.

Can’t believe they only showed one replay of that volley and it was from a shitty angle.

Southgate really fucked up this one.
  17. If they f***ing love Kosovo so much, they had the chance to play for them and make them better. Instead Kosovo is still s***. Hlory hunting c***s. You can be proud of being from two nations Kosovo was recognised by FIFA in May 2016. Shaqiri made his international debut in 2010. Not going to wait for something that might never happen when he has dual nation eligibility. Again, you’re allowed to switch when a new nation is recognised by FIFA. How else would Kosovo have enough players to even field a team? Most of their current players represented other nations before. Players previously representing: 7 for Albania 1 for Switzerland 3 Germany U21 1 Sweden 5 Norway (3 U21 - 2 A-Team) 1 Austria all in their most recent squad. When you are an established member of another country that regularity qualifies for the big tournaments, you consider that nation home, you are not going to pull out of the squad on the eave of the European Championships to play for the country you are from, even though you haven't lived there for 20 years. No matter how passionate you are about your heritage. You can't change if you played an international game after the date the new administration was recognised by FIFA. Presume you're as strongly opposed to Sterling playing for England? Costa for Spain? No idea if you have any non Norwegian born players in your national team but I presume you are leading a vitriolic hate campaign against their involvement in the national team given how you're going on here. It's not about them playing for Switzerland though, it's about them being so passionate about Kosovo while playing for Switzerland.
