3600€ profit from horses today. Lost nearly 2k in Sweden last week though but still a nice boost ahead of the WC. I also know nothing about horses but got interested again after 15 year break as the last weekend in the Elitloppet was amazing fun with 7 friends.

Same cloggers got them to semis last time. But as you said, they need individual brilliance to score the necessary goals while their defense is probably solid.

I agree with this, but doesn't mean he's not a top top player that it seems some are tying to suggest though. He's not one of the best in the world like He is, how you could even argue that is beyond me. Rooney is a great player to watch, give me 20 players better than him that could do a job in multiple positions like he can. One of the best in the world doesn't necessarily mean top 3 in the world, which he obviously isn't. I would say top 7/8 could be defined as one of the best in the world and I don't think he's in that bracket, he is top 20 though. And he's barely top 7 in the Premiership alone, going on last season. I also don't see how anybody can say the 20th best footballer in the world is one of the best footballers in the world Top 20 out of 7 billion something, I can definitely see the logic there. I'm with pata, and I don't like agreeing with pata. Actually, pata, f*** off.

Course there is. I know folk who went to the Sweden World Cup for goodness sake. I even knew one old chap who has passed now, that saw as a young Navy man, some games from the 50 World Cup in Brazil. Is one or two World Cups enough to judge a goalie? Yashin played 12 games in three World Cups (4 in Sweden). Isn't the sample size a bit small? Or were the folk you know avid watchers of illegal streams from the Russian League? I know this is completely pointless argument but I stand by my point without ever seeing either play properly.
-
I still doubt that there's many people in the world who saw enough games from the both to be that certain.
-
How can you say Banks is without a doubt better than Yashin based on films? Any goalkeeper can pull ridiculous saves that can be seen on films but the consistency just isn't seen on film. Banks could've been better but IMO no one can say he was without a doubt a better goalie especially when Yashin played his whole career in Russia.

The first thing we should do regarding our CBs is to sell Taylor asap. He's had 10 years to sort himself out but it ain't going to happen. Easily the most disappointing career out of our academy players that I've witnessed, when he broke through I was 100% certain he would be the new Terry and starting for England in few years. Roll on 2014 and he still plays like he's 17. Selling Taylor would give room for MYM/Good/another young new CB. Colo can still do his job better than any replacement we would buy (), whether that's as a starter or as a 3rd choice CB. Obviously I wouldn't mind someone like Shawcross but it's just never gonna happen.

Probably the most excited I've been about a new player after doing some YT scouting.

I wonder if he was being Pardewed when he was on the bench at FC Twente of the glorious Eredivise X2

Actually Spain does look tempting. What bookies are people going to use? I'll probably deposit to two different sites, can't be arsed to hunt for the best odds and make depos to every possible site. Thinking about bet365 and William Hill right now. Pinnacle and Marathon are supposed to be good but I don't have accounts on them, anyone used them?

Nice, both. It's getting close. Hope I learned my lesson from the Euros and keep the bets small on the first round of games. Not going to be easy.

France 98 had some brilliant kits 94 and 98 easily my favourites. New kits are so boring compared to those.

Aye, Garrincha at 9 is a disgrace. Was my favourite player to watch when I was a kid. Shame that 1970 was the first WC with colour tellies.

x100 We're too scared of it, it's pure scandinavian mentality, no one should be better than anyone. It's just ridiculous. "Everyone needs to play" is a disgrace. It's a noble idea but one that countries our size just simply can't afford. Remember being pissed as a kid when the opposition could choose who plays double shifts in our team if we didn't have full lines in hockey. Like it really matters who wins the U-10 match. Apparently it even got worse after my time and even goals weren't counted, everyone just has to play and have fun. After the last WJHC even the big boss of Finnish Hockey admitted that "everybody plays" resulted in many lost generations. Hopefully things are changing now.

Totally agree and all before june aswell , i usually dont pay attention until deadline day. This is not the stoke way Aye, I've seen you on the telly.
