I don't know why you seem to think that this sort of merger should revolve around the south american countries. imo it would benefit both. And I don't think saying CONCACAF teams "having 0 chance of qualifying" is accurate... Jamaica and T&T managed to qualify for a World Cup in modern times, no?

Anyway, Copa America always invite a "guest" team from another continent to play in the compeition..... this year it was supposed to be bloody Japan before they pulled out!
