    Bramble

I'm glad he came out straight and said what was on his mind. He's won my respect!
  5. What a load of rubbish! Pathetic! Losers, the whole lot of them! I knew we would go out as soon as I saw and heard the stadium atmosphere before the start of the match. Why? Because we’ve got a bunch of gutless losers who were intimidated by it. Is that now the end of Titus Bramble’s run of “form”? 3 or 4 matches? Fucking pathetic! Anybody else still thinks he deserves a new contract? Yes? You’re a fucking idiot, then! He doesn’t deserve to play for a club of the stature of NUFC! He’s an awful defender not even worthy of a top 10 club. Taylor the next John Terry?? Chelsea are welcome to him, then! How many headers have those two missed between them during that 90 minutes? Awful, fucking awful! The bloody game plan was non-existent! Weren’t we supposed to test their weak back line and dodgy keeper?!What the fuck happened there?! Terrible game, Roeder! Bloody terrible! I can’t believe we’re going to put up with crap like this next season as well! Thanks a lot Freddy Shepherd! Where bloody now? I suggest taking Andy Townsend’s advice! Not that it is rocket science or anything! Why wasn’t N’Zogbia brought on earlier? Actually….why did we play Huntington in the first place? Duff at left back and N’Zogbia at LW! Fuck off! > > >
  6. shame he'll end his career without a meaningfull medal, then.
  7. Has there ever been a more pointless post. ffs. Take your pick tbh http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?action=profile;u=49;sa=showPosts
  8. Is this the same HTL who thought Bernard was an average player here and not as good as Babayaro?
  9. Bernard had pace, strength, decent aerial and crossing ability, good technique, strong tackler and wasn't a bad passer from the back. Obviously his positioning was poor but every player has at least 2 or 3 weaknesses. Bridge is even too scared to touch the ball with his right foot! And I reckon (but stats might prove me wrong) that Bernard scored more goals than Bridge. Bernard had much more in his game than Bridge, defensively and offensively, imo.
  10. it was a disgrace that we let him go in the first place. >
  11. Same team if possible. Anyone know AZ's result this weekend?
  12. Most of players mentioned above. I also like Stoichkov. (although I've only seen him towards the end of his career) little Romario! Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo(what a player he was). Also I used to like watching Thomas Brolin! He was a quality player once ya know! Larsson is great to watch too....even now. Can't leave out Zizou. What an artist. Rui Costa was a brilliant player too. Played brilliantly against England at Euro2000....set-up all 3 goals for portugal. Roberto Baggio Tino Ginola
  13. He's good but not that good!

    Right-backs

I don't much about him. But he used to be on Everton's books, didn't he?
  17. I'd sell if they offered crazy money.

    Berbatov for Toon

Or what makes Berbatov better than Martins. On the two occasions they've been on the same pitch together this season, Martins has come out on top twice, scored in both matches and won the MOTM in one of them. but you think we should have bought an inferior player than Martins, or a cheaper player, or nobody, as you are now complaining about our debt ? Double standards, naive as to the true meaning of "balancing the books", or not clearly thought out. Probably all of them. When Owen got injured we had to buy a striker, if Martins wasn't here we would have gone down this season, it's a shame we allowed ourselves to be put in such a compromising situation. Do you still think we were right to sign Duff? I've seen on your website your opinion of him has changed. So you are happy with us escalating our debt, because we had to buy Owen . Meaning that you would not be happy with mediocrity as a result of not taking risks and buying quality footballers. Thank you, I rest my case, I hope I don't see you complaining again about the club showing ambition. Unlike others, I don't change my opinion based on hindsight. Signing a quality player for 5m quid with his best years in front of him is good business. And a damn sight better than spending 9m quid and 8.5m quid on Spanish and French cowards who clearly will not adapt to the premiership. Duff may yet come good, he has proved himself in the premiership, and that talent is permanent. If he doesn't settle at the club he will move on, but I don't recall anyone now knocking him saying at the time we should not have bought him. BTW, when you become more experienced and realistic of footballing life, you will realise that players not settling at clubs, areas of the country, or not fitting in for any of various reasons, maybe personal ones too, happens all the time. BTW also - as you are looking at howaythetoon, there is nothing to stop you posting on there if you want a reply direct, in case you are bashful or something, or shy, we don't bite. Nice Berbatov post here.
