Just succombed to a quick youtube search on Grenier. He does have a "Cabaye" look to his play. My brother lives in Lyon and says that if we get him then he will soon become a favourite.

Newcastle United vs sunderland - 01/02/14 @ 12.45pm (No TV)

It seems I may be on my own, but I am feeling fairly positive about this. Yes, Norwich were woeful and we should have beat them, but lets not pretend Sunderland are anything special. Assuming Gouff is fit to come in for Remy then I would keep the same line up and tactics. -

The back four and tiote have to be told to stay tight and play it short to anita and sissoko. This tactic must not change however the game goes. Unfortunately we all know shola will be on for hatem and Hoof! -
Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Just watch now how many transfers go through that haven't been talked about yet (other clubs obviously). PSG made this £14m bid at the weekend and the whole thing got sorted for Mon night. There is ample time left if we wanted to spend the money. Shit, even two weeks ago, the worst case for Cabella seemed that it was only an agreed deal incase we sold Cabaye. If they really wanted to there is absolutely nothing stopping them, even this late, going to the likes of Soton for Lallana or Derby for Hughes. Imagine Pardew if Everton had sold Barkley for £30m yesterday, he would have been driving a replacement down there as "there's nothing you can do to stop that". -
So? 95 goals man. Even on top form thats another 4 years. What is he, 28 now?
-
The way things stand we are very likely going to need replacements for all the following players in the summer: Cabaye, Remy, Coloccini, Jonas, Ameobi Add to that the complete lack of ambition and/or games means Taylor, Ben Arfa and Debuchy may want out.

I would think its very possible that PSG haven't bid formally yet but are in talks. We have realised that talk of getting £20m+ just isnt going to happen so have released this 'rejection' of a £14m bid in the hope it will dampen fans expectations and leave us thinking they have done well to get £16-18m for him. -

Someone tell PSG Dan Gosling is available for £14m -
This. This next derby is very important.

Is Salah not an out and out winger?
-
They are at a bowling centre out there, Khalifa its called.
-
But are we at least getting close to being on the verge of monitoring him?
-
Going by Dummet's instagram they are in Ferrari world today, so I guess there is a chance he is flying out late for the actual training camp.

Nail on head Dave. The last thing I want is for Ben Arfa to leave but if he isn't then it is a crazy decision by Pardew to allow him not to travel and Ben Arfa to not want to.

Never even got a free kick!

Southampton playing like Pardew is in charge since two early goals.

West Ham United vs Newcastle United - Sat 18th Jan @ 3.00pm

Expected worse (Shola) but hoped for better (Ben Arfa) -
If Cabaye went, would Sissoko offer more protection to the middle allowing Ben Arfa and Cabella to float behind Remy?
-
Would like to think its how we would approach todays game too.
-
My guess is he'll be on bench for couple of months a bit like Santon unless there's injuries. Then first choice once Cabaye has left. So he's a central midfielder? He seems to be an attacking midfielder, a typical Chelsea type. Would suit a 4-2-3-1?

almost....

This Southampton domination is almost making Owen bareable.
