It is very hard to imagine supporting Newcastle without him, but I am sure that feeling will pass, with time. That is unless they appoint someone like Wise, Poyet, Venables, Jol or anyone with even the slightest link to Spurs/London. I can't see any way they have left to turn now but foreign, and I would guess at Spanish.

I'm happy enough with that latest statement to actually go and do some work for the first time all week.The one thing I am taking from this so far is to NEVER, EVER trust a word in the press. It's quite shocking when you think this has all came about from yet another shitty Daily Mail story, then all other press sources just reporting on what each other are reporting.

I'm afraid if things were going to get sorted Keegan would have made some sort of statement to the press. The fact that he has gone to the LMA is not good news.

True, but the one dwindling candle of hope is that they are currently sorting it, and are going to enjoy the press all getting it completely wrong before an early morning show of unity.

Talksport saying they are hearing there WON'T be any announcement today. Would that be a reason for hope it could yet be resolved with Keegan staying?

Whats the weather like in Newcastle? Unless there is a chance of torrential rain I can't see this crowd dispersing until it is announced.

This sort of story is heaven for the press, especially Talksport, they are just laughing at us. The longer it goes on unconfirmed the better in their eyes.

Why would people at northern rock know? As I said, I'm not claiming he's ITK, but he is high up in Northern Rock. He was very much in the wait for an announcement before believing anything camp until 2pm, then he changed his tune to one of mourning.

Fully agree, if he was sacked there would be no chance of things changing, he would have left by now, more likely he wants to resign and they are trying to convince him to stay.
