Got to be 2 players hasnt it.... he was just in line with James Aye.
-
Aye, Taylor was spot on today, not a foot wrong. They were shit and Faye largely dominated Jones but Taylor still had a job to do. Well played.

KK's interview on Sky is class. "I just said to the owner, 'you can't buy an atmosphere like that' and he bought it. Bit of a cliche in there I think."

I think Keegan deserved a lot more respect that some gave him, even when we were struggling, if only for what he's done here in the past. Sorry, but he deserved better than some gave and they should be embarrassed and I'm not on about you. I agree. Some of the criticism he got from Newcastle fans even before he'd managed a game was disgraceful. Very much a case of people believing media stereotypes imo.

God I'd love to finish above that mob. Can't see it though. They've got the world's best striker, the world's two best and fittest defenders, the three best full backs in the country, England's midfield engine, pacey and creative wingers, a top class international keeper and the best manager since God picked an Israelite XI to play the Egyptians. It's a wonder they're 11th and below West Ham really.

Not just an outstanding player, but one who gives his all and genuinely cares about the club. Loved him and Taylor interacting with the crowd at the end. Fantastic.

Didn't boo as such but I gave the horrible mackem turd the abuse he fiercely deserves.
-
I thought he gave the ball away too much today (like many of our players, especially in the second half)) but again his defending is absolutely impeccable. Never seems to have to chase the winger because his positioning is so good. If he can distribute the ball as well as Beye does (and he's plenty of time to improve), he'll be an outstanding full back.

Usually this is a close contest (it's been a case of the least shite over the past three years or so) but this year it's not even worth discussing. Habib Beye by a country mile with honourable mentions for Steve Harper and Abdoulaye Faye - quite ironic considering the number of goals we've shipped like, but that was down to Fat Sam more than anything as those players are now proving.

To be fair, a couple of months ago Owen did look finished, Keegan has done for him what Sir Bobby did for Shearer. Absolutely, I stand by what I said in terms of playing as a out-and-out striker but total credit to Michael Owen and the Messiah for adapting his game. His movement is so good stealing in from midfield that your defensive midfielder put in there to deal with him hasn't got the first clue how to deal with it.

Most of us were confident and with good reason. The mackems were absolute shite. As has been said, we didn't play that well (very sloppy passing in the second half) yet won at a canter. Owen and Beye the pick of the bunch, absolutely outstanding the pair of them. I take back everything I said about Michael Owen being finished a couple of months ago and Habib Beye is genuine top class. Brilliant player.

Aye, me too, never been this relaxed on Derby day before. Starting to worry about my overconfidence actually.
-
Considering the state I'm usually in, I'm actually very relaxed. That could yet be a bad thing though.
-
Must admit, even though he plays for this lot, I really like Tevez.
-
Another great one on one missed by Rooney, he's just nowhere near clinical enough in those situations to be the type of striker that a lot of his ability says he should be.
-
Absolute stick on penalty there for the handball. Stonewaller.
-
Rooney could have been sent off there tbh.
