The fact that you didn't put it in the match thread suggested to me that you felt it was a deeper problem and as far as getting to the summer with our chests puffed out and heads held high, I don't think it is.

In the four games prior to an away game against a very good side, we'd scored ten and those forwards had scored eight of them, so it can't be that "awful". Never seems to be any middle ground on this place, everything's brilliant or terrible. Not having a go at you specifically, just a general point.

Probably Enrique's poorest game for a while and yet still nothing got past him. Him and Beye both had to sit a little deeper, as you'd expect away from home and neither put a foot wrong defensively. Folk think he's slow as well but he didn't look it when all Johnson could do to stop him pulling away was hack his legs from underneath him.

James made some good saves but some horrendous ricks. Got lucky with the bounce a couple of times or Oba would have had chance to shoot. Harper was spot on again I thought. There probably are but not fairly imo. Carson, Robinson and Kirkland are total clowns.

Away from home, usually we look brittle, our passing is consistently poor and we tend to create little. That's all changed. Still early days but even so, it's very refreshing.

With the benefit of hindsight, we should have won but it's a terrific point regardless. Not many teams go to fratton park and dominate the game. Little bit more quality in the final product and we'd have won comfortably. Geremi is so frustrating, i think he's a cracking little player even if he is getting on a bit, but his crosses go from the sublime to the ridiculous. Still threw a lot of quality balls in imo. Good squad player for next year.

We're going into our derby match next Sunday having scored 10 and conceded 0 in our previous two matches. OK, they were against a relegated team and a struggling one, but the noses must be getting a bit worried now. We've scored 4 goals or more in an away match on 4 occasions this season. Wenger's been a victim of his own success this season with the flack that he's getting at the moment. At the beginning of this season, quite a few were tipping them to drop out of the top four having lost Henry and being in transition a little bit. Now he's gotten more out of those players than anyone expected but it's not quite been enough to win the Premiership or the Champions League (because that's dead easy) and it's somehow open season for everyone to have a go at him.
