  1. I'd take a point at Birmingham if I was offered it now like. I still think we can survive without anything in that game but anything will still be excellent. A win would take us nigh-on safe imo. Massive game.
  2. We still know what we have to do. For me, it's between the three North East clubs and Bolton.

Fucking get in son. Peter Whittingham.
  7. Didn't Bobby Robson say the worst trainer he ever had was Romario? He was no Alan Smith like.
  8. Sorry, mate. I'm gonna watch the box now, anyway. The football forum's too tense for me at the minute. I know, wish I was back on holiday just for the simple fact I wouldn't be on here every five minutes. I'm like a fucking coiled spring.
  9. Keefaz, get your own point and stop stealing mine.
  10. have you played football? you're actually agreeing with what i'm saying just disagreeing over semantics...explain to me how "reading" the game is intelligence not instinct, if someone can't read a game you can't teach it...there are countless people who have great technical football skills but go nowhere 'cause they can't play the game...if it could be taught then everyone would be at it, therefore intelligence is not the correct term scholes etc... just have an awareness of what's around them, the better the awareness the better the player in all positions my original post, if you read it, was about use of the term football intelligence...too easily used for me, means fuck all Can intelligence be taught like?
  11. Swindon reserves. That might be one of the stupidest things ever said on here, well played lad.
  12. Good for the North East? Fucking hell, it would be one of the worst things imaginable.

    Alan Smith

I know you're right, I was taking the piss. You might hate him more than Wullie does. I don't hate him either. I just think he's a country mile short of being a Premiership or even a Championship footballer and I resent the fact that he plays for NUFC. I don't believe he gives 100% either but that's another matter. Duff on the other hand...
  14. But our 'Tevez' has an IQ in the minus. Then let our "Tevez" be "Owen".
  15. Now your living in dream land if you think that. How? Who would we have beat if fat man was still here? Remembe he was the man who started this s*** form We may not have won to many but we certainly wouldn't have lost many either a lot of draws and certainly less goals conceded which I think is going to be a factor come the end of the season. We'd have drawn with Man Utd x2? Liverpool? Arsenal? Villa? You're having a laugh man.
  16. Speculation based on nowt. Please don't compare Allardyce to Fergie and Wenger, it doesn't help your point. His signings as a whole have been a disaster. Point I'm making is that, every Manager gets some of his signings wrong and I certainly wouldn't be presumptuous saying Sam is better than those two. If he'd had more money, he'd have gone for more turgid dross. Creativity and pace are dirty words in the Allardyce household it seems. But we'll never really know will we! Good.
  17. Jury's still out on Enrique, I like him a lot but there's also a lot of adapting still to do. Barton and Smith have been abysmal and they were his big attacking signings. I use the word "attacking" very loosely when referring to the Leeds Liability, you understand. Here's the thing: Sam came in on the basis that he didn't have much money to spend, because the club didn't. In come Mort and Ashley, not their man but they couldn't sack him, so they were perfectly within their rights to say "prove you're worth the big money" and he proved that he's a small time manager not interested in winning games. They gave him a decent amount, far more than he would have had under Shepherd, because we were starting to struggle for cash. We all knew that when he arrived, knowing that he had a good record on the cheap. Moaning about not backing him is missing the point - that was what he was originally brought in for. He didn't deserve that extra time.

  20. Great reply Wullie, good to see you countered my post with solid debate. Jesus wept. How can you offer solid debate to the idea of a point at Villa Park, given his shambolic away record up to then? So what, one point difference? We still would have strengthened in the window, and be about 7 points up on where we are, putting us about 12th. When he was sacked I laughed, when Keegan appointed I cried. We missed the boat here lads. Why would the board give money to a manager they didnt want ? Since Allardyce was sacked hes came out and said he didnt get as much money as he wanted so on so on. I cant believe so many people voted no here, the man took apart an average team and made it shambolic, and if he was still here it would have continued to be shambolic. Arsenal would have put more past us, bolton at home would have been suicidal instead of mind numbingly boring. we wouldnt have even threatened blackburn For the simple fact he wasn't their appointment, which was bit stupid, either they should have backed him in the beginning or sacked him there and then. They did back him. Not as much as they should have done. Aye, I wish we'd had another couple of Alan Smiths for £6m apiece.

  22. I think luring players in the summer will be the least of our problems.
  23. Ginola? Albert? They said that did they? "I've heard of Kevin Keegan so I signed?" Maybe we should get Madonna in as manager.
  24. What type of player signs for a club just because they'd heard of the manager?
