Sky definitely hedging their bets at the moment like. I'd absolutely love it if it turned out they, and Oliver, were talking bollocks. Unlikely though.

Nearly p*ss*d myself laughing at this.... mackems.gif Ditto.

Scored more goals too last season. Harry's still the greatest attacking manager the Premiership has ever seen though, he's like Keegan on acid. Apart from at home.
-
Isn't it curious how we've not heard anything about Chelsea fans giving their manager the "you don't know what you're doing" cries? I've said numerous times before that I'd ban all newspapers who print this shite from the ground.

Harry fucking Redknapp. Fuck this shit, I'm off to bed. > Can only hope I wake to find Sky Sports have outdone themselves and made a cock up of epic proportions. Much like the one they're reporting we've made actually.
-
But Harry coming is LUDICROUS isn't it, Wullie mate? (Please forgive me, Wulbert) It is. He must be MAD. Not as mad as I fucking am.
-
Only Newcastle United could sack a manager with the intention of going for attacking football and hire someone whose side hasn't scored for three months on their own ground. What a fucking mess.

Not only are we planning on employing everyone involved in the bung scandal, but we seem to be going through the full list of footballers in trouble with the police. I propose we buy some of our old stars back and a couple of new faces: Hoult Solano - Bramble - Woodgate - Bernard Dyer - Bowyer - Barton - Duff Kluivert - Bellamy Bench: Faye, Solano, Ferguson, Acuna and get Lee Hughes in from Oldham. Boss: Harry Redknapp Assistant: Tony Adams (organises the Christmas party too)

Saw Chris Mort in Burtons earlier buying some new socks.

You'd think so, wouldn't you?

I honestly think he be good for you. Better than Jol by a distance and more streetwise than Hughes. He might seem like an East London barrow boy but so is Kemsley, so is Ashley. The fact that they've known each other for years counts for a hell of a lot imho. If Redknapp said he wanted to spend £50m in this window, I don't believe for a minute that Ashley would say no. Ashley's from Buckinghamshire man.
-
I forgot he was on bail. Are we collecting them or what?
-
You're taking it out of context.
-
Told you it would be him.

That is amongst the worst websites I've ever seen. Talking Soccer - Talking Absolute Shit.

Best game: That first half hour at Bolton. I can even remember where I was when I checked my phone to learn it was 3-0 and thought "this is it, we're going places." Best signing: Faye or Beye at the moment. Worst game: Portsmouth probably. Shown up by a side that were supposed to be on our level. Worst signing: Can't look much further than Barton really. Smith's been abysmal but at least he's only got himself multiple suspensions rather than a cell. Parting thoughts: I was for giving him to the end of the season but I don't think he was the man to really take us places anymore. It was just too consistently poor and, more importantly, totally ineffective. At the moment, the timing looks daft but we'd probably have to have done it eventually.

Agreed although if the rumours are true we will be looking for another manager in about a year I can imagine this is what living with Martin Jol is like. "Just got the nod, you've got fish fingers for dinner, can't name me source but they'll be done in 20 minutes" and when the plate arrives it's crispy pancakes Scy's was very funny but madras topped it.

Forgot about the Southampton debacle? Hardly comparable. Wha? He said he regretted leaving Pompey and don't you think it was mighty stupid of him to switch clubs like that? You said it seems ludicrous, which it isn't in him coming here. It's football mate, you can't rule anything out. He was in turmoil in the months before leaving Pompey and constantly arguing with the chairman over that Croatian bloke. If he hadn't gone to Southampton, he'd probably have ended up leaving anyway. Now he's got a new chairman, good team, new stadium on the way, plenty of cash and he's in his comfort zone - plus he'll have the advantage of looking on it with an attitude of "once bitten, twice shy." He'd have to be MENTAL. If it's Redknapp, I'm off down Fenwick's.

Pearson just nudging ahead of Ottmar there.

I don't think he's a bad manager, but it's all a bit flavour-of-the-month IMO. Not at all and absolutely. Just like Hughes. Three or four months flirting with the top six and they're suddenly significantly better than Allardyce? Nada. Can you imagine a Keegan side going five or six home games without scoring btw?

It's only this season that Redknapp has become this cavalier manager, Keegan-esque in his approach. Last season it was all built on defensive stability and clean sheets - they scored one goal more than Boro and two less than Bolton. Not saying it's a bad thing but some people have short memories. Since when has Harry sodding Redknapp been Arsene Wenger ffs?
