  1. Aye it was: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/1093021.stm
  2. Loved that first game of the season against West Ham on Monday night when he scored two and him and Viana were absolutely class.
  3. I quite liked Kerr, rarely let us down.
  4. Leverkusen and Wolfsburg were originally formed as the works teams too, like 100 years ago or something. I'm not sure it's exactly the same as nicking an existing club and changing the colours.
  5. Depends how attached you are to your club, its heritage and its cultural attachment to your city I suppose.
  6. same My hunch is it's probably something to do with them changing the name and the colours of the "lucky" club in order to turn them into an advert.

Peter Crouch podcast with Mike Dean is worth listening to. Nothing groundbreaking but a good laugh.
  8. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Solskjaer is one of Earth's worst humans.
  9. Peter Walton's such a knob. "Oh I've changed my mind as well", funny that.
  10. Did Mourinho refuse to shake Lampard's hand there?
  11. VAR change their mind half an hour later.
  12. Really surprised by that. Looked worse the more they showed it.
  13. Can't abide Darren Fletcher like.
  14. Watched it when it was on last year, love that tennis guy.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if some Bournemouth fans have hit that point that every team who is not what you might call a typical top flight team hits at some point, that feeling of "what is the point in this anymore?" It happened to Stoke, West Brom, Sunderland, Wigan, there comes a point where Premier League survival becomes the most tedious thing the game can offer a supporter.
  16. David Conn's reasoning on Football Weekly for Man City being given such a severe penalty is really useful, basically saying that if an FFP breach is like a speeding offence, for which you get a fine and a few points, City have been found guilty of saying their wife was driving which is much more serious and carries prison time.
  17. I've hated for years how all the interesting discussion points on this forum end up in one of the two "not worthy of a thread" threads so this is definitely worthy of its own. There's a couple of really good Miguel Delaney pieces on similar themes from last week: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/champions-league-superclubs-liverpool-man-utd-barcelona-real-madrid-a9330431.html https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/champions-league-super-clubs-liverpool-man-utd-barcelona-real-madrid-a9334826.html
  18. Wasn't our investment all loans, rather than outside investment? John Hall didn't put his hand in his own pocket for players as far as I know.
  19. Hull game's been absolutely class.
  20. Peter Walton proper wanks himself off in that little box when VAR chalks off a perfectly good goal.
  21. It's a really good piece.
  22. Boaz Myhill. EDIT: it's here after 1 minute, don't remember it being as funny as that.
