It pisses me off like, on every podcast I listen to, whenever Pardew comes up, the discussion is always along the lines of "well WBA did employ Pardew, it was always going to be a disaster hur hur hur" as if he's been widely accepted as being a complete fraud all along. These are people who were touting him for big jobs early in his Palace tenure.
Gini's problem was that he was signed from a team that rarely need to do any defending and brought into a shit team in a relegation battle who hardly touched the ball. He's much more suited to the way Liverpool play and they're one of the few PL teams who are so good going forward that his complete non-existence when they don't have possession doesn't really matter.
We were still good though.we could beat almost any team but had major consistency problems but not ones which would put off many players from signing for us given that at the time we were one of the richest clubs in the world.
Between 93/94 and 2006/07 (so our whole PL history pre-Ashley) other than two occasions we either finished in the top 6, got to Wembley, qualified for Europe or won a certificate. We were consistently a very good side just didn’t win anything.
25 metres?
I was just looking at the cards from the last leg as I ponder tonight's bet and Milner did get booked in that game.
UEFA themselves confirm it: https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2018/matches/round=2000884/match=2021707/lineups/index.html
Is that all you lost on?
Well as far as I was aware it was just that letting me down but having looked on the link you posted it says Henderson did not get booked but the BBC website, livescore and BET365 themselves had Henderson down as being booked.
I had Mane to score anytime and Milner/Henderson/Fazio to be booked.
