It was a reference to protests over something called the Bond Scheme that West Ham tried to implement in the early 90s (which I just read on KUMB).
Similar to our bond scheme?
I think the gist was that their bonds were compulsory - you weren't allowed to buy a season ticket without buying a bond for at least £500.
Good on the West Ham fans.

Some of those are a bit tenuous like.
Huddersfield moved home in 1994, Wigan moved to a smaller stadium and Southampton had been in the top flight since 1978 before moving. Brighton's was a forced move after they got turfed out of the (larger) Goldstone Ground.
I take your point though, at the lower end of things it's clearly beneficial in many circumstances.
Why?
Real Madrid usually win CL finals. Think they've won the last 4 or 5. While Juve usually lose CL finals... 1 win in 4 finals? And that was marred by tragedy.
True, but Juventus over the last couple of years have just been relentless when it matters, other than that one game. Thought they were much better equipped last year to win it than they were previously against Barcelona.
Cheers lads, I had the double on.
What were the odds as I meant to put it on?! Actually, don’t tell me ha ha! Had £25 on Ronny so can’t complain!
35/1, I'm not like you though Paully, I only had a quid on.
