  2. I think the early 90s were peak football. The hooliganism was in serious decline, clubs all still played in their old stadiums, the league had just enough foreign players to make it feel special, anyone could have a pop at the title. Good read that. Griffin Park is a fucking excellent place to watch football.
  3. The TV money has long since gone past a point where an extra few seats is going to make a difference financially. An extra 20k seats on a ticket price of £30 across 19 PL games works out at £11m a year. That'll buy you a bog standard PL midfield player, but that's only after you've covered the cost of the build - the new White Hart Lane is estimated to cost £750m. Leave the ground where it is. Not sure using the Emirates as evidence of the benefits of moving to a new stadium holds much water either.
  4. Aye, the pure raging Arsenal fans running down the stairs is hilarious. That Jenas moment was so amazing. We have to settle for the little pleasures. What was the score? Pretty sure we won like, but don't remember. Won 3-1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/4842464.stm

  6. Ha, that was late. Sevilla must have cost me about £150 this season in missed penalties. Fucking hate them.
  7. Why do I never put these on? On an absolutely shocking run at the minute.
  8. Aye, they know where the goal is at both ends.

Have you and him swapped shirts?
  10. Riviere doesn't even get a game for Osasuna, who have 10 points.
  11. Fucking hell, Lyon absolutely relentless at home at the minute.
  12. I did have a chuckle at Newport County's highlights over the weekend.
  13. 100% agree. Not sure. Maybe trial it where it only kicks in after ET. Still feel it has merit and if abolished you'd soon realise why it was implemented in the first place. It was implemented to avoid replays before the invention of the shoot-out.
  14. Not supposed to be, UEFA apparently aren't happy about it. There was a La Liga game yesterday played at 18:45 to avoid a clash but the PL, rightly or wrongly, seem to consider early kick offs a non-starter.
  15. First one was a stonewall pen imo. Second, yeah, not so much.
  16. That's outrageous like. Sure they can argue it's in the T&Cs but I don't understand how they can get away with putting something so arbitrary in the small print. Why don't they hide away that if a goal doesn't hit the net, it doesn't count? Or if a corner is taken short, it doesn't count? Those make as much sense. You shouldn't have to go reading the small print for something so black and white.
  17. Think that's possibly the most incredible thing I've ever seen on a football pitch.

  19. That means fuck all tbh considering how antichrist they are at scoring goals. Their fans were saying the same last season. Was just a point in relation to Crumpy's ridiculous assertion. We're only on 3 less than Burnley scored in total too fwiw.
  20. We've already scored 6 more goals than the Middlesbrough side that got promoted last season, with 10 games left.
