  1. Bet the BBC were delighted to be showing this when they saw the teams. What a load of shite.
  2. Fuming that we were signing a ballon dor winner at 25. I understand in hindsight like but at the time who couldn't be happy at such a transfer Anyone who posted on here at the time will tell you it's not hindsight at all. Peter Ramage made 29 appearances that season, Robbie Elliott 22, Amdy Faye 28, Lee Clark 25, Shola 34. That's before mentioning Craig Moore, Bramble, Babayaro etc. The squad was absolute shite and Souness and Shepherd thought they could fix everything by spending most of our money on a goal poacher with a notoriously bad injury record. At the time £16m could have paid for massive improvements to the squad as a whole.
  3. you fucking what? hes still here? where is he? how many times has he played? Scored the other night for the reserves, just back from loan at Bradford. Not many.
  4. I didn't fucking want him, I was fuming.

  6. These teams we're battling with will simply not lie down. Between them, Brighton, Reading, Leeds and Huddersfield must have some fucking record of late goals.
  7. He's never even appeared on the bench for Ajax once, league or cup, so I'd be very surprised if he is. He obviously is fit as he's in goal tonight for AZ. They're 4-1 down at home to PSV.
  8. Several nationals have basically the same story on the back page.
  9. I am very surprised by this turn of events.
  10. They were saying on the Ramble that last season he went behind the goal and had a fight with a fan. EDIT: not last season, 2013: http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/sport/11776637.Sutton_United__Wayne_is_Shaw_glad_to_be_back_at_the_Lane/
  11. He's never even appeared on the bench for Ajax once, league or cup, so I'd be very surprised if he is.
  12. Burnley 19/10 to beat Leicester tomorrow, at Turf Moor.
  13. Why was it chosen you mean? Fairly obvious I would have thought, club rarely on TV, bit of a narrative around them at the moment, good chance of an upset.
  14. Who does have the best squad in the Championship then?
  15. Agree with the first paragraph. Disagree with the second, you know what you're signing up to when you follow NUFC. Particularly in a cup game. Well I kind of agree, though I thought Benitez was above that. It was more a general point. Martin O'Neill used to let 3000 Villa fans trek to Eastern Europe to watch their under-12s.
  16. Have no problem prioritising the league in a situation where we need to basically win every game, it's not like when you're mid-table in the PL and tossing it off, or even when you're at the bottom and getting howked every week anyway, where a bit of confidence from a win could be vital. IMO managers though should be telling supporters that it's going to be a second string before people trek halfway down the country for it. It's not on really. At least if people have paid their money with their eyes open, they're not going to feel so aggrieved.
