  1. Cheick seems to be the general consensus.
  2. Did he actually ring the police?
  3. Although the main memory of him will obviously be the goal at home to Arsenal, that away performance is what I consider peak Tiote. He was a 10/10 that day, Kante-like in being first to every single ball, every single tackle all day long.
  4. This might have been mentioned already, I'm sure he scored three absolute screamers here but the other two were disallowed for offside - one was (outrageously) against Man City when Gouffran was in front of Hart, was there another where the same thing happened or have I made that up?
  5. Absolutely devastating news. Younger than me for God's sake. His first two seasons here he was absolutely imperious, and he will live forever in NUFC folklore for that goal.
  6. Had 2-1 Juve on the 365 offer. That's why they gave the chance to me.
  7. It kind of is, because it's on Freeview which is effectively terrestrial now. Which Freeview channel is it on? 115
  8. It kind of is, because it's on Freeview which is effectively terrestrial now. Is that not just the final though? Ah sorry, yeah, thought that was what you meant. There's a few odd games through the season too.

  10. I've got it. I've lost a shitload recently but have won on the offer a few times in the past. Never put a risky qualifier on though.
  11. It's on, but only if you've received an email or message from them.
  12. It'll be the first time in many years that they've not done it for the CL final. Possible they've knocked it on the head altogether if they don't do it for this one, which would be grim.
  13. Full house, pretty easy. Only one that took much thinking about was the name of the leg breaker.
  14. Hope he trips and grazes his knee in the road tomorrow. Then gets hit by a bus.
  15. Mediawatch: Writes Stan Collymore in his Daily Mirror column on Tuesday: ‘I like Jaap Stam and David Wagner, and it’s nice to see some younger, fresher names cutting their teeth as managers.’ You can sense the ‘but’ coming… ‘So I was delighted that their Reading and Huddersfield sides reached the Championship play-off final. In Wagner’s case, I’m certain he’ll be part of a rising trend of clubs appointing men who once assisted the so-called super-managers.’ ‘So-called’. Collymore’s disdain really is majestic. ‘But I’d also love to see British managers of a similar age to them given the same chances by clubs in and around the play-off places.’ Erm, Stam and Wagner weren’t appointed by clubs ‘in and around the play-off places’, Stan. They were appointed by clubs in 17th and 18th in the Championship, who had failed under British managers Brian McDermott and Chris Powell. The reason both made the play-offs is at least in part due to the excellence of their managers. Very few clubs in the play-off places appoint new managers, by the very definition of their decent league position. Still, Collymore is right about British-born managers not getting appointed in the Championship. After all, since Wagner was appointed by Huddersfield only Paul Lambert (twice) Dean Smith, McDermott, Lee Johnson, Neil Warnock (twice), Nigel Pearson, Paul Trollope, Owen Coyle, Alan Stubbs, Garry Monk, Steve Bruce, Steve McClaren, Kenny Jackett, Warren Joyce, Ian Holloway, Paul Warne, Tony Mowbray, Gary Rowett, Graham Barrow, Mark Warburton and Harry Redknapp have been given jobs in that division. Keep fighting the fight for justice.

At least there's Confederations cup and U21 Euros in the summer. You're not selling it. I love getting in from work and having three games back to back on terrestrial TV. Best time of the year.

    Odd numbered years.
  18. That fucking arsehole Krul's just saved a penalty with the last kick of normal time in the Eredivisie play off, and cost me £55 in the process.
