so comparable. Maybe we sign richard dunne as well. Lets give him a few games before we write him off. Even though he's had twenty years of scoring own goals for us to evaluate. You were one of those strongly against signing Townsend as well. Murphy has scored 37 goals in the last two seasons, there's a decent chance he'll be an okay backup if we give him a chance Yes. Townsend was and still is very one dimensional. He did very well for us over six months. Still irrelevant to a 33 year old lump who has played well for a team that no one gives a shit about. Any time he's played for a team that people actually watch, he's been gash. How many times have you seen him play in the last three years btw? Not sure. I'll have to go reference my Daryl Murphy statistics xlsx and get back to you. Exactly. Wish people would stop commenting on players they know nothing about. If you haven't seem him play in about ten years then maybe give him a few games before you completely write him off Or maybe I've seen him an adequate amount of time to make a judgement and he's never done anything to prove otherwise. And maybe asking a trite question like "how many times have you seen him play?" deserves the nonsensical answer that it received. When have you seen him play recently then? Probably saw him in the Euros like everyone else did. By that logic we should be willing to let literally anybody have a game, just to check.

You can't just keep saying he's scored 37 in the last two seasons, it's very disingenuous. Only 10 of those came last season, and they only came across 6 games, and he's nearly 34 so he's hardly on the up.

They'll get something in the second half.

He's only had one decent season in his career like, and "he scored X two seasons ago" doesn't really wash when the bloke's knocking on 34. I'm hopeful that Gayle, Mitrovic and Perez will score plenty and hopefully he'll be a rarity on the pitch, but tbh I'd rather be giving the opportunity to Armstrong in their absence. Murphy didn't score at all until November last season and hasn't scored yet this season either. He's far from a guarantee of goals even in this division.

They'll win today sadly.

Didn't realise he was 33 as well. No ta.

Not sure it's that random, Derby look dire and I don't think Burton will be in too much trouble.

Link pls. http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=164789&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=1120 That's from last night but there's quite a bit going on in the various match threads too. Loads of reports of tourists in other shirts. One bloke said there was a big group of Canadians wearing t-shirts saying "We salute you Leicester City"

In all seriousness I liked him a lot and Pardew fucked his career out of spite. Cool. Irony is that he set up our best first half chance in that Benfica game when he put a header on a plate for Cisse who fluffed it.

Serves him right for his performance on the wing against Benfica.

The clue there was in the word "banter".

Aye, very true - but how often does that ever happen? There will always be one team who has an outstanding season that nobody expected before anyone kicked a ball (Huddersfield looking like that team, so far). But 95% of the time, the winners of this division are the best team on paper. I don't know how you can say that with any degree of surety, it sounds like cliche without basis in fact. Were Burnley the best squad in the Championship "on paper" last season? Maybe they were, I honestly have no idea, I find it slightly hard to believe though given that QPR and Hull didn't lose too many players. What about Bournemouth the season before, having just finished tenth? Brighton are an extremely good side at this level, free scoring and tight at the back, with a manager who has taken a side up before and we'll have to up our game from what we've seen so far to match them.

I could just as easily post Leicester's team from last season and say "look, what a load of shite."

Very much enjoying reading the posts about the Olympic Stadium experience on KUMB.

Quite fancy that Red Car Racing.

What the fuck is wrong with English football man?
-
Really disappointed to see him go.

Is that how it works like?

Jammy bastard.

We had exactly the same saga on here when there was a unnamed black guy at an open training session. I think Skirge spent about two weeks posting pictures of every black man he could find on the internet.

Such an odd transfer from start to finish.
