Aye he did, the goals were an absolute carbon copy of each other.

we had nolan, the end. pretty sure barton only got 1 that season (free kick i think?) and i'd back diame to outscore both guthrie and raylor, and ritchie to outscore them all. lets not pretend we had plenty of goals from midfield last time, nolan aside, we really didn't. 35 goals from midfield is quite a lot like, Nolan got just under half of those. totally agree on nolan, but ritchie could quite feesibly hit/surpass his figures. the others mentioned, guthrie got 4, barton got 1, raylor got 4. Diame did that on his own for hull last season. they were hardly prolific. On one hand you're saying they weren't prolific, then saying we should ignore the one who was. As a unit they were, it doesn't matter so much where they come from individually, in fact it's better if they all get a few as it means we don't lose out so much when injuries hit. Put it this way, I'll be absolutely fucking astonished if we score 35 goals from midfield this season.

8 starts, 7 off the bench for Barton. We were extremely fit that season, picked up very few niggles and were able to pick a pretty consistent XI.

What's happened to this? https://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/jul/27/twitter-sky-sports-premier-league-goals Can't see any goals on that account at all.

Used to have a video when I was a kid of all the best Premiership goals from 92-93 and that one against Wimbledon always stuck in my mind as being the best, absolutely fantastic.

We really need to give someone an absolute arse-kicking.

Where the fuck is Haidara? It's the wide forward areas that are the biggest concern for me I think. We've got neither the numbers nor the quality required. At least we've got Mitrovic to come back up front, Perez who we know is better than he's showing at the moment, and Armstrong who pissed it one division lower before getting out of his teens. Out wide, other than Ritchie, we're hanging our hat on Aarons a) stepping it up considerably and b) staying fit, then behind him it's Yoan Gouffran and Sammy Ameobi. It's a massive problem.

Frigging hell.

My wife had 2-1 Liverpool and I had 2-2. Was planning on cashing the 2-1 at £200 and hoping for an equaliser, they couldn't even manage another ten minutes without conceding. Fucking hopeless pricks.

That's how the offer works. You need to put the second one on so that the first is refunded if it loses.

That is fucking sensational.

Possible whoosh but he's banned.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League
Wullie replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
The last team to win the Championship having lost their first two games were the mackems in 2005/06. They went on to lose their first four. -
We're putting nowhere near enough pressure on poor sides. We've not led in a game yet we've had only 6 corners in 2 games. Brighton have had 13, Norwich 13, Villa 13, Wednesday 16. These are all our competition and they've all failed to score in one of their games but they're putting far more pressure on the opposition whilst doing so. There doesn't seem to be any urgency at all when we're behind and we don't have the nous to pen teams back, haven't had for a long time.

I nearly posted something to that effect last week, wondered whether he was regretting us lining up what was basically a load of whipping boys.

Was there a reason given for Forestieri not featuring today?

4 goals in his last 60 appearances spanning the last two seasons. 35 in February. Nah. Started about ten games. Proven at this level, brilliant in the air which me miss, great hold up play which we miss, and great at bringing others into play. Would give us much needed physical presence, which after two games is quite clear what this league is about. Is it? In what way? We were bullied in both games from an attacking point of view, absolutely nothing sticking up top, no outlet for us going forward, therefore not allowing other players like Perez to get involved. It's a nonsense cliche imo. We'll win this league by being the best football team, not by loading up on bruisers. That's the quickest way to get stuck down here.

The wide options we've got are absolutely terrible, we'll have to bring someone else in. Compared to last time we were down there, it's laughable.

No, we were politely asking fans who were walking out with them at the end to hand them back, some did but nearly every member of the group had some sort of confontation, one of our group was told ' howay then, take it off me' ,I despair sometimes. There was a group of about 20 of us at the ground last night until dark and back today at 12.30. We are thinking of scaling it down a bit, it was a lot harder than we thought and to be honest we feel a bit deflated after the thefts, although i hope you all agree it did look stunning. Dear me, that's atrocious. The mind boggles at these people. -

Surely possible some people thought they were free to take unless it was made clear on the day? -
