  1. Don't remember him being regarded as anything other than quality in England.
  2. Never gave this Madrid side a cat in hell's chance of winning this tournament.
  3. I get why the rule is there, like if you put a cross in but it takes the slightest nick off the full back and your striker is a week offside, then that's still offside. But Fabinho is sliding in there, in the direction the ball eventually goes off him, I think it should have stood.
  4. Yeah I didn't know that like, in that scenario I thought it was a goal.
  5. 36 years old and I've still not learned not to look forward to finals as they're always wank.
  6. I don't think much of this camera, more crowd than pitch.
  7. Thiago and Casemiro cards, VVD SOT - 45/1
  8. ffs man. He was 12/5 today. If only Jared Gillett had been reffing that first leg.
  9. Been absolutely incredible. I've never seen a game with so many goals from set pieces, I think at least 6 of the 9 goals have been either corners or long throws.
  10. It was nothing like the Conference League, it wasn't a tier below the UEFA Cup, it was a qualification tournament for it. It was nothing more than a few games in the summer that you had to apply to play in. When we "won it" in 2006, we only played one tie, vs Lillestrom.
  11. I can understand a disdain for a competition like the ECL if you're a Man United fan or something but I don't get it from supporters of a club like Newcastle who a) have won nowt and b) haven't experienced European football for ages. It always absolutely delighted me that we made every effort to play European football, we'd always enter the Intertoto when other clubs were turning it down and that was bloody great. Even when we were absolutely shite in the league, you'd have every Thursday to look forward to against Celta Vigo or Bnei Sakhnin or 1860 Munich when we'd up our game and inevitably get quite far.
  12. Not in the league he doesn't, and when he does he scrapes in with 11 or 12. 15 domestic goals the most he's ever scored.
  13. Just unbelievable how poor his goal record is for someone who has bounced around Europe's elite for the last 10 years. He gets to 10+ goals a season less often than Chris Wood.
  14. Free fiver on 365. Get your slips on about 4 hours before the game kicks off and the site falls over.
  15. Did you get on it? Wasn't bloody watching properly and it flashed up on my phone, I thought of course ffs.
  16. I've got Roma win on there so the bet is identical in practice (i.e. if there are 2+ goals in the game for both teams combined and Roma have won, then they have to have scored twice). There's often a slight price difference though so I always check both if I'm putting on a team to win and score twice.
  17. Went to put this builder on earlier, then cleared it, then put it together again but in a different order.

I hate it when everyone does those results calculators towards the end of a season. "Pretty sure we'll go down as I went through all the fixtures of the bottom 6 and we get X points, Leeds get y points..." Mate if you could predict even a quarter of those results correctly you could put a tenner on it and never have to work again but you know full well you can't, so stop doing the football equivalent of trying to interpret your dreams.
  19. Needed 2 cards each at St Johnstone for a 14/1 winner, geezer scores in the last minute, shirt comes off and it appears the ref never booked him, even Sky's stats said 1-2, card not showing up anywhere. Luckily 365 paid out so I've withdrawn before they pinch it back.
  20. Think they built up quite a rivalry in the several seasons they were both trying to get out of the Championship.
  21. "How can it be the manager's fault when he's not on the pitch?"
  22. Prices for the likely suspects definitely starting to shorten now. Best for tonight: Obed Vargas (Seattle) - 5 cards in 6 starts - 15/4 Sega Coulibaly (LA Galaxy) - 5 in 9 - 5/1 Santiago Rodriguez (NYCFC) - 4 in 10 - 15/4 Jordy Alcivar (Charlotte) - 4 in 7 - 4/1 Brandt Bronico (Charlotte) - 4 in 11 - 4/1 Best refs are at Montreal and Miami.
  23. I'll have a look in a bit. Had 3 trebles overnight hit the post with 2/3. Before that there are 3 massive relegation clashes in Spain at 7pm and then 2 in Italy at 8. Refs with big averages in all 5 games.
