  1. Wow. It seems there is no time limit on making a claim either. How did you do it?

Doubt it, there's very little reason to change numbers these days unless it's leaked to an internet forum. I've had my number for nearly fifteen years.

Needed to generate revenue by renaming the stadium to a company that didn't pay for it. Sounds legit.
  4. Wouldn't mind some of those Norwegian write-ups Kaiz. Same for anyone with info on Sweden. Gonna look more at these because the leagues that are coming to an end have become ridiculous.

The main problem is that the emergence of Chelsea and Man City has meant that even the Europa League places have become extremely difficult to obtain via the league. English football has always had a couple of powerhouses in it but those clubs have now been bumped down a level and filled the gaps that everyone else used to aspire to. If you go back even five years and before, everyone had a shot at Europe. We got in regularly, Ipswich qualified, Boro qualified, Man City (when they were s***), Villa, Bolton, Blackburn, Fulham... there was always enough spaces to ensure that the average PL club could get into Europe with a decent season. Now once you get to safety, that no longer exists and everyone goes through the motions for three or four months - not as much as NUFC but it's still there. I know there's this idea now that the UEFA Cup is to be avoided at all costs but I'll never buy into that. European football should be every Premier League club's aim as a given. It's going to be tottenham and liverpool securing those europa league positions for the next few seasons. As getting into europe via the fa cup has been scrapped. Didn't realise that, so only the FA Cup winner gets the space now? Jesus.

  7. Does this mean that if you bet £8 and win you'll get £15? Your odds are confusing It didn't win anyway, finished 0-0. But that's usually how we do odds in this country. 15/8 means you bet 8 and get 15 profit. To you, it's 2.87.

I'd love to see some evidence that a crowd "getting behind the team" can make any difference whatsoever to on-field performance over a period of time. Man City must have acquired some unbelievable fans at the same time the Arabs turned up.

Most of the fans with views like that are barely literate. Funny that.

If John Carver was the answer, what was the fucking question?

Too many people on here think they can just stop going, watch on a stream and Ashley will cave in. There is no sign of this happening. We need some high profile protests to get more media attention. Largely because 40k+ haven't done so.
  12. The way the club is run behind the scenes is akin to deliberately kicking the ball into your own net once every so often, just because you think the supporters are wankers and it will be funny to aggravate them. Not Ujpest though. He just loves seeing anyone in a black and white shirt score.
  13. I always use this analogy: loyalty to this incarnation of NUFC is like declaring undying loyalty to your wife whilst you can hear her through the wall getting knocked off by the next door neighbour. There's a line to be drawn in any situation, a point where you have to say "That's it, I'm not having the piss taken out of me any more." Completely ruling out doing so under any circumstances shows a mind-boggling lack of self respect.

  15. Yep I did the same this time last year, lost some money but it was worth it.
  16. On the issue of fans still turning up to support the team despite wanting Ashley out, the view of Gabriel Marcotti on the Times podcast earlier this week was worth hearing: "I struggle to understand that. To me that's like 'here is my udder, go ahead and milk me Mike'. If you care about the team, if you care about the club, if you're aware of the fact that this is basically an interloper and you assume that the club will still be there once he's gone, you almost have a duty not to go. You're basically crossing a picket line. I can't even begin to relate to that sort of fan. I find it pathetic."
  17. Just catching up on Total Sport. John Anderson makes some great points tonight when speaking to BG: people say we have to invest but the top sides can spend even more. Wise words.
  18. Sociedad decent value later against Villarreal at 15/8. Villarreal have been absolutely shocking of late, and Sociedad are decent at home.
  19. Rough with the smooth ffs. When the club actively admit to keeping things rough for financial reasons, it's a fairly decent bet that's what you're going to get for your money.
  20. Just got Bayern at 7/5 about 15 seconds before they scored.
