If they could 100% get someone's name on a contract and guarantee Garde/Tuchel/whoever taking over at the end of the season, with a full remit to bring in their own staff, then in theory that would be tolerable. In practice, you've still got people who've paid good money to watch John Carver try and stumble his way to 13 points for another 4 months.

I agree with r0cafella that if he has pulled out of Rangers, it will be largely down to the SFA. They're not budging, and nor should they, so he has nowhere to go. I also agree with Santoon though. If nobody turned up to Newcastle games, it would force his hand. I think he might refuse to take it till the summer if he was told he had no job after that. So if Garde or whoever brings their own staff he might not like that arrangement.
