Don't bite, you'll never do anything more pointless in your life.
  2. How the hell they had the gall to say that, I have no idea. Such bollocks. I hope N-O is planning to buy a board or two. http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/offer-made-to-pay-for-removal-of-free-sports-direct-adverts-at-st-james-park/ Could really backfire on the club that statement. I'd like to see loads of local businesses ask the club to buy a board for next to nowt and publicise being knocked back (assuming they are, which they will be). I took note at the Leeds game of just how widespread it is and it's staggering if you stop to look around. There's almost nothing at the ground that isn't either Mike Ashley's company or the loan company, and the absolute vast vast majority is the former.
  3. I was in with Man U fans in the cup final and they are the worst supporters I've had the misfortune to meet. They thought they had the god given right to everything. Really made me laugh hearing when they got Moyes on a long term deal, the fans and pundits saying "Man Utd are a patient club, we/they'll give him time", I thought you really haven't got a clue have you? It's not 1991 anymore.
  4. Howay there's no comparison in pressure between Everton (especially as they were then, shit for years) and Man Utd. There is a comparison, different kinds of pressure but I'm just responding to a claim that he's never had to deal with it. Bit like saying I had a bit of pressure in my job last week so I could cope with being Prime Minister, no bother. Is your current job in politics? Or anywhere near that field? Civil servant! Obviously I was being flippant, but Everton fans back then expected to be shit. Man Utd fans expect to be the biggest and best team in the world, 100% of the time. Generally agree with brummie though, nobody could do that job, but certainly not a bloke who'd cemented himself as having a glass ceiling of around 5th or 6th.

  7. Fucking insane price they got him for.
  8. I don't think they'll finish in the top four (though I certainly wouldn't say "no chance"!)
  9. Absolutely no chance of either imo. Ferguson back in post by Christmas.
  10. David Moyes manager of Manchester United. Makes me laugh every time I think about it. Shame about Man City like, will temper the cockney rage on 606.
  11. Didn't realise until the other night that Elche are in La Liga this season. The place is only about five minutes from Alicante airport, would love to go and see them play Barca in May.

Fairly sure he never won the European Cup like.
  13. Yep, agree with Yorkie and Unbelievable. Lack of ambition is bad enough from the club but even worse from our own supporters. If we as a group don't keep demanding better, that's when they feel even more of a right to take the piss
  14. I think 8th was a reasonable target given we'd never have finished 5th had Chelsea not been so s****, and we'd not finished top 6 for 8 years or however long it was. The fact we got nowhere near that is what's embarrassing. Bollocks man, you always have to aim to improve. 8th should always be considered a bit of a failure for NUFC anyway imo. If that's your definition of "optimistic" you can bloody keep it. f*** off man. If you expected us to finish above one of Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs & Chelsea again I'd call that delusional rather than not being optimistic. Competing with Liverpool & Everton between 6th-8th should have been the minimum we could hope for. What was it about the changes Arsenal and Spurs made last summer that made it impossible to compete with them again like?

  16. They haven't had to put up with his patter for 2 years so i'd probably agree with him
  17. What other club would finish 5th then target 8th for the following year? How utterly embarrassing. Horrible bastards.

I've never understood the view to boo your own players off the pitch. I'm sure a lot of fans thought this and it was kind of only on the extreme days the boo boys would come out but now it's like just accepted to boo every time a poor show or defeat takes place. Madness, does nobody any favours. Understand the odd frustrations standing up yelling at a couple of players now and then to buck their ideas up but some of the s*** Pardew/Jonas/Tiote get is just ridiculous. Bold part i was, first part just vented fury straight off as the boo boys entered my mind as i was about type about the people who stand up give out abuse to players/manager every week I don't think I've given abuse to a player regularly since Damien Duff f***ed off. The manager gets both barrels regularly though, and rightly so given our home form. You can't expect people to pay for expensive tickets, sit through a 6-0 defeat or a pasting off the mackems and just saunter off without being pissed off about it and showing that anger, it's preposterous.

We've been here a million times, Moyes had a better record and a worse squad. You f*** off. It's fickle to believe that you would have accepted it and backed him to stay after the lowest points tally and a 17th place, god dam even i would have wanted him out. I would admit that, i've been very judgemental in the past with wanting managers out. I was one of those who thought Bobby’s time was up, I’m ashamed to admit it now but I was. If Moyes had of arrived and had that kind of season, I’d have been saying sack him and get someone ‘class’ in. I don't know why you think everyone is so shallow to look only at finishing positions in the league table. That can be affected by injuries, budget and a whole host of other things. I don't rate Pardew because his teams play football without any shape or direction, and generally by the end of most games the bloke in the other dugout has got his number. I think your last point is extremely pertinent. We often start games well, and Pardew prides himself on how well he "prepares" for the opposition but usually by the end we're either clinging on to a win for dear life or chasing the game and looking a complete mess. I've seen few poorer in-game managers at this level.

I think it's acceptable to yell abuse at him because he's utterly fucking shit at his job and has been responsible for a few of the worst days I've experienced as a fan of NUFC. What I've paid is irrelevant, I'd much rather do it for free.
