  1. Bricking it about tonight.
  2. Nah, many more teams still in the mix.
  3. The time has passed to be attempting to be solid ffs. We've been trying that all season, that's why we don't attack and ultimately why we've conceded so many goals.

Southampton are only a point above us! They're still fighting for their life.
  5. Mate was trying to claim that this morning but I'm pretty sure Swansea are safe. Might just be after last night because I don't think Southampton and the mackems can both go above them.

    It is anyway, mathematically.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    I can. Fucking disgusting performance.

If that's aimed at me, I meant the players... who visibly ran out of ideas on Saturday when HBA/Gouffran went off and Cisse was relocated to the win. I don't think Pardew's hands are tied whatsoever, he's had a good enough squad this season to have us in the top half without many issues. Not aimed at anyone mate, especially not you, you little pitbull , just my opinion. As i said tied my arse. No, I just meant because I'd just used the phrase "hands are tied" in my post just now (meaning the players) and didn't want to be misunderstood. I just hope we can put a good side out on Sunday and largely stick to it, I don't care if Ben Arfa's keeling over by the end we need him on the pitch on the off-chance he can produce something. Our dynamism and creativity is non-existent without players such as him, Gouff and Marv on the pitch. I know what you mean, i just hope the twat leaves our match winners on. The hands tied thing, i'm sure i saw it earlier, someone reckoned his hands were tied, which i think is utter bollocks and it was your post which jogged my memory. That was me, Bimpy, and they are. This game is entirely different to any that have come before. I don't give a shit about how much you hate him, or for how long he's had you crying. He knows this. Our players know this. We will try to win this game, and I'll go into it believing that we can. Yes, he'll try to win it but he'll try to win it like he tries to win every game - by keeping it tight as much as possible and hoping to nick a goal. If we get one, he'll send on defensive midfielders and back off to defend 1-0. He'll try to win but he won't change his approach.
  9. It is remarkable that sides like Norwich, Fulham and Southampton, teams who people labelled safe weeks and weeks ago, are now not safe. Our manager said we were safe in March.
  10. Lets hope not. We need bravery and courage in the face of the enemy. Better off having quality footballers imo.
  11. Wigan need to win the match first. You're three points ahead of them. You have the points, they don't. I don't see how they're in a better position than you. Cos they look like winning every game they play atm, whilst we look completely incapable. They don't, though, that's the thing - they were lucky against Albion. People look at Wigan and just assume they're going to do it again. If you then look wider, there are far more teams in the mix now than there were a few weeks ago. I don't think they were lucky. They threw men forward and made their own luck. We'll do what we always do, try and keep it tight and maybe nick one (but it's ok if we don't cos an away draw is always a great result).

  13. Could very easily come down to who avoids the biggest arse kicking - us against Arsenal, Norwich at Man City or Wigan at Arsenal. Lucky for us we didn't lose 9 goals from our GD recently.
  14. I've thought for ages that we mustn't be practicing shots from distance in training. Our long range efforts are absolutely dire and have been getting progressively worse. Ben Arfa and Cabaye, who both looked lethal from distance two years ago, have noticeably regressed.
  15. I'm banking on him knowing that us dropping is the worst thing for QPR compared to the alternatives.
  16. I see us 24 hours away from 18th place, with only 2 games to go. And your next fixture is as easy as it gets. You'll win at QPR and this'll seem like a distant time of panic. You've really not watched us this season, have you? No, but I have paid close attention to every other team in the relegation fight. It always looks worse when you are talking about your own team, but there are teams in worse positions than you, and it is in your own hands. Beat QPR and you're fine. Maybe if you can't win there, you deserve to get relegated, but honestly, both Wigan and Norwich are in worse positions, clearly, and I believe Sunderland are as well. There's no way Wigan are in a worse position like, given their momentum. They'll never have an easier game than tomorrow night, I'm convinced they could send a second string out and win that.
  17. I think that'll happen regardless, we don't do healthy leads because the players are instructed to go into their shell if we take the lead.. If we win, it'll be by the odd goal and we'll be getting pummeled by the end (as you can't possibly stop the opposition doing that).
  18. At least if either the mackems or Norwich lose on Saturday, we'll probably only need a point to stay up. Don't trust Southampton or WBA in the slightest though, nobody's doing us any favours at all.

    Alan Pardew

I don't see him being able to lift the players to win any match, be it QPR or Man Utd. He hasn't attempted to win an away game all season.
  20. Kidding yourselves if anyone thinks Pardew wouldn't have done exactly what Pulis did btw. Two peas in a pod.
  21. Disastrous result. We needed them not to get another point.
  22. Even a point's not great for us. Fucking Stoke man. It was all going far too well at half time. Expect Swansea to be 3-0 up and lose tomorrow.
  23. Knew this would happen. They'll win.
