Would you like to explain exactly what you meant by this then? Presumably that we think we deserve better than to have our good manager sacked and replaced with a shit one. Geordie mugs.

Megson was hated at Bolton when he arrived, wasn't he? And hated when he left. What point are you making?

He works with Ashley I think, probably for SD. Does he work on the top floor? He does honestly work with Ashley in some form. This isn't the first time he's known about Newcastle news before everyone else. Pretty certain he announced that SA was gone too. He doesn't, he just works with some high-end sporting lawyers who have dealt with NUFC busines as well as what GM deals with. I think he's very high up in some golf (surprisingly enough) organisation or other.

As long as he wasn't player-manager i'd take Shola.
  5. That plan has never been implemented?
  6. Never once have i watched Man united or Liverpool fans protesting over far less than this, and thought THEY were the ones in the wrong. Says more about you than anyone else.
  7. Goes along with what Golfmag said, goes along with the fact this is clearly not based on results, sounds about right.
  8. Tactics crap? He changed them to the approval of most people on here when he needed to. I for one think he was learning fast and realising where he was going wrong and where he was going right. I don't think he would ever of had us as a top class side, but given time and finance stabilise us as a top 9/10 side. And as for the fitness levels? I'm not even going to bother. That's because you're lazy and overmatched. Hughton got the tactics and/or selection horribly wrong against WBA, Bolton, Fuham, Blackburn, Wigan, Stoke and Blackpool. You can't argue that he ever demonstrated genuine tactical nous. Neither can you argue with the assertion that several of the players look severly lacking in physical endurance. Guthrie, Nolan and Shola to name three. He got the tactics wrong because we didn't win? What type of retarded logic is that? What happens he gets them right and the other manager gets them right? Unstoppable force meets immovable object, it's the end of the Universe as we know it! Either that or we're a newly promoted club with a number of players who aren't good enough and the FACT is that we have far more points than anyone expected us to have and more than the vast majority of promoted sides have had at this point over the years. And we try and claim Newcastle fans aren't deluded about our place in the footballing hierarchy? I think we have become that way.
  9. I nearly put your avatar quote in my sig earlier.
  10. Fancy football fans getting emotional, whatever next?
  11. I think that's so much nonsense but fair enough. In five years time, we'll be looking up at Hughton and wondering what might have been imo.
  12. Can't stand this "well yeah he was never going to be a great manager" stuff. Condescending shit, as Ian W said earlier, and John Carver before him, no wonder none of our English managers get anywhere.
  13. Why? He was unproven and therefore never to be proven? What a load of shit. He'll go on to be a top manager. You can quote me on that.
  14. I assumed he'd just c+p'd it?
  15. As a season ticket holder, I'd be 100% behind a boyco(u)tt on Saturday. Won't happen though. Bend over and part cheeks, it's the NUFC way. This will no doubt be met with some smarmy comment about applauding Ashley and being weak and not supporting the club blah blah f***ing blah, but do you really thing that would make any difference? Ashley doesn't give a f*** at all, he'll just appoint the manager of Bedlington Terriers and sell Enrique. If SJP was empty? It would make a massive statement and make him realise that without the paying customer, he has nothing. But he obviously doesn't care about the club, as he's shown with a terrible managerial departure. He's already got your money for one season, and he'll probably not be there on Saturday. I'm not saying 'Let's do nothing about it and turn up at SJP and cheer', but what's the point if it's obvious that nothing will make him change/sell up? He cares enough to sack the manager though doesn't he? It's not like he's letting the club get on with it. A mass empty stadium would be akin to saying "this is what you've got coming" and would frighten him more than anything else. An consistently empty SJP means an NUFC running at losses far greater than what he's moaned about so far. Right now, he knows we'll just turn up every week.
  16. That's not excellent for Ajax though, especially when it's Twente who've beaten you rather than another big club like PSV. Not far off Rangers coming second to Hibs.

  18. Bad craic from .com iyam. Hate this attitude that because Hughton was unproven, he was always going to be unproven. Is it too much to ask that a manager could become a success with us (KK?), rather than become a success elsewhere then be asked to recreate it under different conditions? What retarded logic is that? It's like selling Andy Carroll because of a lack of experience.
  19. Much rather have kept Hughton but probably the best alternative.
