Assuming Pardew is hired, I think those of us who said that Ashley's actions were, in the main, motivated by sheer spite have been vindicated.

You'll get a job on the coaching staff with those credentials.

being fair hughton had the best squad in his division to work with. however... Mr Ashley, Could you please tell us why you are waiting to announce the appointment of Alan Pardew as you know, I know, my auntie Joan in toronto and quite probably people in coma's and persistent vegetative states know that you planned it a while ago to let Mr Hughton go and replace him with Mr Pardew ? Why are you trying to make it appear that you are now starting the search process when you actually decided weeks ago and had Mr Pardew informed ? Cheers, an interested party. Hughton made it the best squad in the division imo. We had 4 strikers that were either young or not that good but he got the most out of them and brought on Carroll amazingly. Our midfield were no great shakes either, especially pre-Routledge but he got the best out of them and used them to their strengths. Bar Enrique our defence was horrendously low on confidence/out of form but he instilled that back into them and got them performing to their best. People keep saying he had the best squad but you just have to look at how they were performing when we went round to see how confidence had completely torn apart any shred of ability. Look at Boro, I would say their squad was a lot better than most in that division. Same again this season with the additions they made but they haven't got a manager capable of getting the best out of them. Hughton doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for last season. Never even gets mentioned that it's under his stewardship that Carroll has turned from sub-par Championship striker to England international in under a year. Suppose it would have happened anyway.

Why the f*** does Alan f***ing Sugartits keep having his say on all things football? Why? Who gives a f*** what he thinks? Erm, he's a high profile personality supporting our cause. Don't complain. Ah I agree with what he's saying, but he seems to be getting asked about football constantly despite having little to do with the game. He was chairman of Spurs for a good few years tbf.

Why?? Did Shearer when he came in after what happened to Keegan? Shearer hasn't been licking Ashley's hoop.
-
Not being funny, but list them for me please. Won the Champ with Reading. Got 3 more points than CH too. All while wearing a Steve Coppell fancy dress costume?

Don't say that to Ronaldo, he'll take the huff like he did with me yesterday.

I'd guess 9 points from 24 at home went a good way to getting him the tin tac. What about 19 points from 16 games? 12th in the league. You've wanted him out for ages and had to suffer the embarrassment of us beating the mackems 5-1, winning at Arsenal and beating Chelsea. Sadly you got your wish thanks to the thickest, fattest man in Britain. I wasn't embarrassed by us beating the mackems 5-1. I quite enjoyed it although I sort of knew it was merely delaying the inevitable. Like I said - 9 points from 24 will have went as far as anything in Ashleys mind to replace him. We'll stay up on the bcak of home form. Folk just simply don't remenmber (or don't want to remember) the results we were pulling in our relegation season. Deja-vu for me and likely Ashley. The last 2 away games our next 2 or 3 home games. Ashley has done it at the right time (if it was to be done at all) The week we had two games at home which could have set us up nicely would have got Ashley thinking. Blackburn and Fulham on the back of Stoke and Blackpool. Two (four)fucking pathetic performances - in fact very similar performances to the ones which took us down two years ago. Remember? Do you not think you should accept that we're a team that's newly promoted and prepare yourself for the ups and downs that will inevitably bring? Exactly where do you see our place in the Premier League as being? Where do you think a good manager (in your eyes) would have us finish with this squad of players? You're going to be disappointed no matter who is in charge with this squad and no money to strengthen I'm afraid. This is the squad that went down with most of the 'star' players taken out and only one really useful addition, plus Carroll.

Oh Coloccini: Oh Alan Pardew, I wish I had a rifle, Alan Pardew, get the fuck off my wife, you, Alan Pardew I hope Andy Carroll chins you

He's right like, you get to know what a big club is when you've spent your career at giants of the game like Blackburn, Leicester, Crewe and Derby.

Can we have Hughton back when we go down please?
-
Especially since he's apparently been waiting around behind Hughton's back waiting for us to concede a corner and give Ashley the opportunity to pull the trigger. Cunt.
-
Beardsley's totally plummeted in my estimation like.

What if we hadn't stuck with Keegan? Ashley would have bombed him out for not winning the league in the first season. A manager is a long term commitment, you can get a player on a month long loan - the comparison is laughable. I meant first time round. Op. Nut was saying there's nothing wrong with dispensing players after promotion and Keegan did this successfully therefore the same principle should apply to managers. I was saying that we could've used that logic when Keegan got us promoted but what good would it have done us? Would we have finished runners up and played in Europe if we'd dispensed with Keegan? Obviously it wasn't an option as we hit the ground running, but I don't agree with Nut's point. So did I! I was agreeing with you btw.
-
Hope he doesn't mishear the Coloccini song and think it's about him, he'll be knackered.

Possibly a useful link for the thick cunts who think our recent dip in form was so disastrous that we were clearly for the drop: http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2010-2011/form-table/full

What a fucking amazing resumé.

Hoddle ffs. I'd rather have Hoggle from Labyrinth (David Bowie assisting).

The same does not happen with managers. Not at any properly run football club in the world. So if *insert name of manager here who you might think is better than David Moyes (but might actually turn into a catastrophe like Ramos did)* went knocking on Everton's door, you reckon they'd bin him? Would they fuck, and they wouldn't have at any point either.
-
I think that's absolutely ridiculous. What if a "better" manager than Jol becomes available next week (Juande Ramos perhaps)? Do we bin him too? Absolutely shocking attitude to have - almost mercenary, should there not be loyalty from both sides when someone's doing a good job? Confident Hughton will go on to be a far better manager than we can hope for in the future anyway.
