Got a strong feeling Portsmouth FC will be liquidated today. Lots of info on our intranet (work for HMRC) about our enforcement teams targeting football clubs so I can't see them getting off lightly at all.

If Cleverley goes to Wigan we should be damn sure to get Ben Arfa. I was hoping we went for both, excellent prospects. Of the two, Cleverley seems to be the one who's more in demand. I'm not so optimistic now, because it seems that all the Lancashire clubs are after him, and that will have its advantages for him. I just hope that the thought of playing in front of 50,000 crowds tips the lad into favouring us. Not that he'd have the last word. I'm worried that we're a bit out of favour with Ferguson after we borrowed Rossi and then didn't play him . Bit like Moses really. You'd think if he had hopes of breaking into Manure's first team he'd fancy playing in front of our crowds so as to get acclimatised to big crowds rather than playing in front of 500 men and their dogs!! Must think he's more likely to get more first team action at the DW stadium.

I honestly have no idea who this player is, I'm totally ignorant towards French Football (something I will change). However, this transfer thread alone is on course to making him an instant Toon Legend... until he's Pancrap on his debut and we all hate him until he scores a wonder goal. Having watched him a fair amount of times, it's clear he has talent, but he simply doesn't use it right. There's a reason Marseille are letting him go and have been thinking about it for a few windows now. Think Nani at his most frustrating worst, Ben Arfa is selfish and very often overplays. He's never lived up to the hype of when he first broke onto the scene at Lyon. I'm not trying to make it sound completely doom and gloom though, as I said, he has talent (a type we've sorely missed), it's just a case of getting it out of him at the right times. Something that everyone has failed to do so far. Knew this about him. Just hoping by going to a team which isn't up at the top he might knuckle down and show his class (which is obvious!) More than likely he just fancies living on the quay though!!!
