  1. Think it will go to pens, tonight and we all know our record with them......
  2. What's Bernard's end game here, with Durham? Seems utterly bizarre.
  3. Really disappointing to see that there are still folk out there who when going to the match, look for bother. Just why? Too much drink or charlie?

    Joe Willock

Terrific today and a lovely run and finish for his goal.
  5. Our midfield general. I thought he ran the show, 2nd half.
  6. Well as my dad said to me - he never saw that coming and to be honest, neither did I. I would have taken a point if offered at kick off. Another superb win and performance. I'm enjoying the ride at the moment!
  7. Players been taken off - apparently some bother in one of the stands..... (Talkshite) EDIT - players back out and on. Was a medical emergency.
  8. Toney does seem to come with a bit of a rep - not the first time he's courted trouble.
  9. Went to North Shields v Ossett United yesterday (was working) How it didn't end up 4-4 or 5-5, I'll never know. In the end, it finished 1-1 - Ossett went ahead in the 90th minute, only for Shield's keeper (and MoM) to equalise from a corner in the 6th minute of injury time. First time I've been to a game and seen a keeper score. Blyth had a good and much needed win v Telford, yesterday - 3-0, with 2 goals for Matty Cornish.
  10. I used to play right-midfield and Waddle was my role model.... but! At 6'8, I've never been quick or one for getting stuck in. Could ping a long pass or a cross though! i was never that good, but I loved playing during my Uni days, and was well up for the team craic as well. Good times. :)
  11. I still don't tuck them in now - same with shirts (unless dressed formally), tshirts, etc. Was just something about Waddle doing it, that stuck with me. Indeed, I think he may have done it during WC 90?
  12. Used to tuck your shirt in to your shorts or did you let it hang out? I remember seeing Chris Waddle wearing his shirt not tucked in during his Marseille days (I think), so I always did the same. Did used to roll my football socks up though - I wasn't a total tramp!
  13. You would think that this will have huge implications for BBC Total Sport; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-63455192 BBC local radio stations will have a significant number of programmes cut under new plans, the corporation has announced. All 39 networks in England will keep their current schedule from 6am to 2pm, but after that shows will be shared. There will be 10 local programmes between 6-10pm on weekdays, across the day on Saturday, as well as on Sunday mornings. Live sports programming will not be affected. There will be one "all-England" show from 10pm across the week, and on Sunday afternoons. These changes will result in the closure of about 48 staff posts, with the BBC explaining it wants to prioritise digital content. The BBC is also creating 11 investigative reporting teams across the country, focusing on key local issues across TV, radio and online.
  14. Wouldn't it be great to see Joelinton getting a Brazil call up?
  15. He deserves a call up, though I would much rather he stayed fit for us. He's been a terrific signing and is a proper man's centre-forward.
  16. He's been terrific this season. Remarkable turnaround. Amazing what confidence and a gameplan from your manager can do!
  17. What a job this man is doing.
  18. Mike Dean, according to Talkshite.
