Unlucky, lads. Best side in the world just had too much for us in the end. Big Jo a big miss tonight and once again, the lack of options from the bench has been exposed. After this season started with so much promise - it's in danger of finishing on a whimper. Top 6 looks beyond us, nevermind the top 4.

Sick bastards. Who in their right mind would think this a good idea?
-
Same old faces on the committee? That doesn't bode well for rebuilding the club and regaining trust.
-
Yup - Tommy Johnson was a little ginger twunt. Got grief after he scored for Derby at SJP the following season, after he went out the same night, after the game (in the Bigg Market) Not too bright that lad!

I remember listening to that game in disbelief, Paully. Fucking Brian Coddington - what a cunt.

I hope it's not going to be a regular thing - shifting home games to a Friday night, as I don't work on that day. The fella I look after also does a different activity that night, so is unlikely to get.

North Shields lost their first game back after the recent crisis - 4-0 to Heaton Stannington. Just over 500 there, apparently.

This is Man United's first away game in the FA Cup (in front of fans) since before Covid - according to 5Live.

RIP to a legendary footballer.

Hopefully the lad can now resume his career and get on with his life.

With regards to the away support on Sat - as someone who watched on TV, it did seem quiet, as well as when we scored - it was mostly people clapping, rather than 'limbs' that I could see. Is this not a sign of the times in our support - a lot of die-hards have been locked out, possibly due to a change in economic capability (being so expensive) as well as middle-class 'gentri-fication' of PL football, in general? The idea that PL football is still a working man's game is laughable. I can certainly no longer afford to justify getting a season ticket, nevermind getting one for me and my daughter or nephew. Far more important things to spend that cash on. Like food and keeping warm!

Own goal it 1-0 Arsenal only got themsekves to blame

When my dad was a kid, he would go and watch Newcastle one week, then Sunderland the next. Although he is a black and white, but it's something many did back then. Mind, he also leans towards Arsenal for some bizarre reason!

The rivalry between the two cities goes back all the day to the english civil war, as well as being to do with coal rights in shipping it to London, IIRC? I don't hate the mackems - I've got family and friends who are red and white. We have good craic outside of derby day and that's how it should be.
-
With regards to Jenas on MotD last night - I'd put money on him replacing Lineker, when he decides to jack it in. Why? Because Jenas will offend no-one, other than decent football fans with his appalling craic. Oh - and he will tow the line re politics. Just watch.

Remover the awful word please. No need for it on here.

Boro not really lain a glove on Villa so far.

Excellent 3-1 for Blyth at Bishops Stortford

Over the moon, with a thorough and professional win. Bruno absolutely ran the show.

ITV got Keane and Waddle as pundits. Nice and balanced - of course (Waddle being a mackem supporter and Keane being ex mackems boss) -

I'm feeling OK tonight. Heading to my dad's to watch with him, tomorrow - though may see if he fancies the club instead. -
If the lad goes in the summer, then he does with my best wishes. Can;t deny that he's not given his all in the time he's been here. Real Madrid will be a likely destination, IMO.

When I went to a few Shields games last season - was told that they had visited grounds far worse than The Morgue and yet these other clubs seemed to get away with it, whilst Shields got the hammer. Mind we all know there's something very dodgy been going on at Shields - echos of what happened at Bedlington Terriers, 20 years ago.....
