Carver;
Says it's gonna go to the wire. Says that the players are ready for the fight (as he is!) and he thanked for fans for their support (!) Not bothered about anyone else's results - it's still in our hands. Said he saw some determination and togetherness.
Bernard chips in, although how he has access to the mind of Garde is a mystery. That last caller was brilliant...You can tell they all pulled back when he kicked off.
Just listened - cracking call.
It was Olivier Bernard. I can see why he said what he did about the players, but it doesn't stop it form being complete bollocks.
Ollie is chairman/owner of Durham City and also works for Show Racism The Red Card. I'd imagine he'll have press pass for NUFC, too.
Keith Bishop all over this. Am glad I'm not the only one to have seen it for what it is. Shameless and shoddy from NUFC - a last desperate act, but it's too little too late. Fuck the lot of them.
There's been mention this morning, of Ryan Taylor or Jonas playing DC alongside 'the captain', on Saturday. Mental. Satka is a DC and whilst he's green, he's surely worth a start? Unless Carver is worrying that Colo will hang the kid out to dry?
Agreed. The time to back the club has long passed. I think there's a bare faced cheek in the club statement from yesterday and also the rallying call from Lowes - who will have no doubt been prompted by the club. I bet this week, we will see various NUFC 'legends' rolled out to speak via the Chronicle, for the supporters to back the team on Saturday. Shameless.
Mick Lowes issuing a rallying call to supporters, ahead of the match on Saturday. Says any protests should be put to one side and for fans to go and get behind the club.
Bit late for that, I think?!
Heart the size of a pea and it saddens me to say that.
It's noticeable how anyone with a voice and was prepared to stand up, was binned by Ashley.... Nolan, Barton, Harper, etc. Ashley likes people who tow the line.
