  1. I'd like to see some of the national media take Pardew and the club to task over our 'cup record'. The locals probably will, but the club don't talk to them anyway. Never having been beyond the 4th round in either competition for 7 years, is little short of a disgrace. I know now that if we manage a home draw in either competition, next season - I won't bother going. Where's the point?
  2. Looks like 'Raif' has beat me to it. Though Darren Fletcher is talking over him.
  3. Hope it's a freephone number. still waiting on the phone. They rang me back. They've let me go, as they are so busy tonight. They are gonna 'try' and call back.
  4. Some 'Alan Pardew's Black and White Army' from The Gallowgate/East Stand corner. And the usual feckin smoke bomb.
  5. Reminded me of a training game. No intensity or tempo from the off. Cardiff only went for the win, when they worked out that we weren't bothered.
  6. Oh and remember, if we report a profit when the accounts are released, it will be celebrated by the club akin to a cup-win! At least, that's what the PR will be. Wankers.
  7. The worry will be if we start dropping like a stone as soon as 40 points is achieved. As an ex-season ticket holder, was saying to my dad-in-law who went with me today, that I miss going to games. Then again, after witnessing what I did - I remember one of the main reasons why I packed in. There's no joy in it any more.
  8. Lads - it's what he said on Radio Newcastle. Almost word-for-word.
  9. Pardew; Reckons we were 'in control for 70 mins'. 'Wonder goal out of nothing for the winner and then a set play' 'Questioning the referee in the run up to the equaliser' 'Disappointed with the players - players were up for it. We played well and contained them first half' 'Effort and commitment was there' 'At home - you cannot back off against quality sides - you cannot be negative' (he seriously said that!) Genuine trolling attempt to end there?

  11. Gonna get it in the neck over the next few days, and rightly so. I'm looking forward to his excuses - I'd wager 'tiredness' will be one.
  12. Mission accomplished for Pardew today - his lord and master will be pleased. :-( As for me, £20 straight down the pan. No will to win or temp from the off. Why did I bother, as well as 31000 others? There's no ambition at all.

The rivalry has been unhealthy for a while. Neither side has anything to play for so the two derbies take on even more importance resulting in radgies being even radgier. Not saying they're the only ones, but you just need to see the bile spouted on RTG to see how bad it's got. There's genuine hatred on there for Newcastle supporters from some of their lot (and I bet some of our dafter fans feel similar about them). I don't know how you can get through the day feeling that strongly about another bunch of people because of football. Pathetic doesn't quite do it justice. Yeah, I want to see us hammer the Mackems whenever we play them and I'd love them to sink through the league but I don't hate them or their fans. My best man was a Mackem. I've got red and white mates as well, and an Uncle (not blood!) who is one too. It's all good natured bar on a derby day, but that's only to be expected. Dunno what it is with some folk, particularly the young'uns who have never been to a game in their lives. Probably more just an excuse to act the arsehole, as has been previously said.

There was no ban, there was going to be so our club arranged it that our fans could see the match via a jumbo screen, then the ban didn't go through but we still didn't take up our allocation and didn't give Sunderland an allocation in the return fixture. There was a ban. None of wor lot for the game at their place in 95/96 (Beardsley and an OG in a 2-1 win) and I'm sure there were none of their lot at the return at St James. I remember it being beamed at the Arena though.

Dickheads on both sides, unfortunately - but most mackems don't seem to realize this. It's a sad state of affairs when Northumbria Police have decided to penalize both sets of genuine fans, because of druken radgies who weren't even at the match. Any more bother come Feb, and they'll be after banning away fans again like they did in the mid 90's.

    Nile Ranger

Ranger's a prick. No club should go within a million miles of him, if Swindon sack him off. Waste of genuine talent.

What happened to the lad that Newcastle were linked with a couple of years ago, from Bolton - Mark Davies. Was very highly rated apparently.

I've got no great hatred towards Bolton, other than Gartside is a twat.
  19. French journo/pundit iirc. Reputable or up there with the rest of the Twitter wasters?
  20. Who's David Crossan, Dave? Name rings a bell for some reason.
