  1. Someone sticking the boot into Pardew on TS. Anyone from here?
  2. It's not balanced though is it? As you suggested editorially they don't criticise the club whatsoever. They leave it to us lot to do that. Steve Howey was quite refreshing last week - Ando tends to watch his P's and Q's.
  3. No probs, bonny lad. They do 'try' to be balanced, but then over-compensate to defend the club. Which I suppose is an editorial decision given that the BBC have commentary rights.
  4. You calling in mate? Not been able to tonight, but will try tomorrow.
  5. 'Supporter' just been on TS saying that the reaction from some of wor lot and the local press has been way 'OTT' and that it could have a negative impact on Pardew if the boo-boys go after him again. The hack from the Daily Mail not helping either.
  6. It's spot on. Does he have twitter? Here's the video; http://www.frequency.com/video/janusz-michallik-shaka-hislop-stewart/159629131/-/5-301907
  7. Worth sharing again - Stewart Robson on Alan Pardew; http://thespectatorsview.com/2014/04/01/video-2010-interview-foreshadows-pardews-downfall/
  8. Really disappointing that from Mick Lowes. He most definitely is in the club's pocket. I'll ring up TS tonight and have a go at them about it.
  9. Too many go to the match out of habit - an excuse to get away from the wife and kids, or meet up with friends. The football is secondary.
  10. He won't be at the next game - he never is when he knows trouble is brewing. I'll be surprised if he's at St James again, this side of Christmas. Mass walk-out should happen, but it won't. Too many apathetic supporters, as well as the 'soopa-fans'. Might see an outbreak of civil war though, as supporters begin to turn on each other. Its already started happening, going off reading on here over the last few months.
  11. It's little short of amazing how the club see fit to do shitty things on an international break, when the next home game is weeks away. I think they are hoping any anger will have subsided v Hull, but I hope they turn out to be wrong. Ultimately as sad as it is, he's won. Fan base is divided between those who want change, those who can't be arsed and those pro the regime. He's got a gobshite manager in charge, who is happy to take all of the flack, whilst the TV cash continues to roll in, unspent. He's laughing his tits off at all of us- said it before, but not enough people listen. This club is a corpse and the owner is feasting on what remains of the flesh.
  12. Slim - at least you tried. I would take the banner in again, put it up v Hull and it might start a reaction if the apathetic can raise themselves for once. That said, I bet the stewards will take it off you beforehand, sadly.
  13. Ashley and Pardew laughing at all of us.
  14. Just remember lads, that all this is slowly moving Pardew closer to the exit in the end. A battering at Southampton and the Hull home game will become a bear-pit. Pardew should be afraid of leaving the dug-out. Though of course, the Pardew sympathizers will be happy.
  15. Ashley playing one last trick of 'hope' to us supporters.
  16. As worrying as it is, ultimate good can come of it - if it moves Pardew closer to getting binned. Ashley won't accept a relegation scrap, which is surely in the offing now.
  17. Anyone surprised by what Ryder and Douglas have said? I'm not. Relegation battle it is, fellas. Ashley's shut up shop and hoping for the best.
  18. I'd take the lad (Wellbeck), but no way Ashley will pay that. Nastasic will be a cracking signing, but will he want to play 2nd fiddle to Colo and Williamson?
  19. Still probably a snide for the club, given that he has worked for Ashley before. I'd take Defoe, but we will only buy if some are punted out.
  20. Me on Total Sport tonight - 41mins in; http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p024yfvq and for the Pardew and Ashley apologists;
  21. Pardew; "A case of two points lost - sloppy starts to both halves. Running out of ideas - Aarrons changed game, but we didn't see it out. Felt that the players got carried away looking for 4th - chased to high up pitch. Had a go at Palace for wasting time and the ref adding on 7mins. Players were 'looser' and it's going to be hard to address with so many players going away for Internationals. Gives credit to Palace - new manager 'spirit'. Pleased Williamson got his first goal - Janmaat will get more. Transfers - says the clubs are still looking - hoping that one more comes in. It's about finance - targets are there. Possible that one or two will leave as there is not much 'room'.
