Referee cost us the game today - a shocking performance from Mark Halsey. I sincerely hope that Hiadara is OK and that that scouse prick gets the book thrown at him for such a cowardly challenge. Had it been Tiote who did it, he would have been off regardless of whether Halsey could see or not. Pardew was fuming, as am I.

My sister used to manage that shop until recently and he was a regular visitor often putting hundreds into the machines. Not a very pleasant person by all accounts. On the more positive side, my sister is now managing the shop in Ponteland and James Perch gets in now and again, putting on a £20 bet. Top lad she says and very polite too.

Chuffed with the win - felt it was gonna go down as one of those days when Walters scored the pen after Tiote's lunge (why the hell did he do that?) However, once again they kept going - world class free-kick from Cabaye - I thought it was too close to get up and down, shows how much I know! Also, fantastic pass from Marveaux and a cool finish by Cisse for the winner. The important thing at the minute is to get points on the board and get to safety, whilst hopefully pushing on in the Europa.

Cool finish today. even though I thought he was offside initially! All strikers go through lean spells and Cisse is no different. He's still got my full support.

Interesting! Will be cool to see our we setup. I remember last time we played with no striker in Europe. Anyone remember the Monaco games from 97/98? Rob Lee played in the advanced position. Shearer was out knackered and Tino was suspended.

What happened? Didn't see any reaction as I was out Keane was quite forceful with his views on the red card - think Southgate and Dixon were a little taken aback.

Turned out to be a good 2nd half - can understand the Mancs feeling hard done to, but I can see why the red card was given. Anyway - it's nice to see them on the receiving end as they have banked plenty of those decisions down the years. ITV once again awful with their commentary, though Roy Cream was refreshingly honest with what he said post match.

Not the best game. Certainly not the classic the TV companies were hoping for.
