Why couldn't all this business has been done last summer, instead of the club resting on their laurels. Good to see some much needed bodies looking like they are gonna sign on, though.

I wouldn't mess, like. Good luck there, Nile. Fair play to him. I can't see Ranger saying boo to a goose on that one!

Was Nattrass one of the local players who went on strike to get Richard Dinnis the job after Gordon Lee walked out for Everton? I remember 'Mira' very clearly and yes, he was greedy. Used to have some huge arguements on the field with Paul Goddard. I also remember him hitting the bar from about 45 yards against Liverpool in 88/89 when we went down. He first lived in Bedlington (the club bought him a house there) and he was well known for playing football games on the street with the local kids. Plenty of my mates at school got his autograph.

If Pardew isn't removed soon, it will happen when the supporters start to turn on the owner and his lacky. That will be the tipping point.

Absolutely. Just about everything he has done this season has been terrible, however one of the trinkets of shit that has really got my goat is his ridiculously negative aura. Whether it's his press conferences, his post-game bullshit, his EL excuses, or his containment XIs... he's been utterly negative all season long and it has completely rubbed off on all of the squad. I've been of the opinion it be pointless sacking him cos we won't get anybody better in. However, we couldn't do any worse as it stands. Losing at home to fucking Reading after being 1-0 up. I'm struggling to remember a worse ever defeat at SJP. I can't think of one in the Premiership era for sure. Hull at home after KK was sacked.

Blaming the supporters now? Deluded to the end and that's the comment of a man who is hanging by a thread - and losing.
-
Gotta go now - cowardly tactics and subs have cost us the game.

Need to get him over the line sharpish. Redknapp will be waiting no doubt!

It's not going to be off, the roads are clear and the snow is melting. The biggest problem will be with people having wet feet because of walking through slush. I was actually in my seat when they called that game off. Six hour round trip in the snow between christmas and new year, what a bastard. Busses were off me and my waye walked, got to top of Barrick road when it was called off, some lad told us he was on his way back good job he had a radio with him was fkn sick 3m walk in the snow for fk all. Our lass dropped me off at the Trent, only for someone to tell me it had been called off. Rang my mate who was on the Bedlington Supporters bus to tell them to turn back around, but as it was - they were stuck on Grandstand Road. I started walking back home to Fenham, but fortunately our lass came and picked me up from beside BBC Newcastle. -

Badly need a win today - lose and Pardew is surely out of time. -
Checked out the two lads from Juventus - I would say too old (both over 27) and both would command big fees. No-goer for me.

One look at SJP proves this. I don't think he has any ambition for the club beyond plugging SD and clawing back the money he lost by not undertaking due diligence. Nail on head.
-
Well, he would be another body in. Still desperately need a striker in and another DC though!
-
Total Sport saying that he hasn't signed for QPR yet - our offer is still under consideration, as are offers from 'un-named' clubs.
-
Not positive from George with regards to anyone else coming in.
-
Just back in from work - disappointing news, but I would say that if he is only interested in money then fuck him. Move on to another target and get him in pronto.
-
It's a good piece and yes, I'm for the likes of Chelsea and Man Citeh being pulled back but there is the argument that this will only benefit the Mancs. What will be interesting (with regards to Europe) is if UEFA start taking the hard line with the big clubs who are in a shit load of debt - I bet they won't and this is where another problem lies. Where money and greed rule, corruption also exists.

Hope the police pay him a visit soon.
