Good and unexpected point. Full credit to the players who showed some real bottle in coming from 2-0 down. We deserved at least a point and I don't think Everton could have argued has we actually sneaked a win. Hopefully a turning point today.

Not a good first half from us, but the goal from Taylor has given us a bit of hope. We look well dodgy at the back (nothing new) and we lack any kind of physical presence up front. Also why start Enrique when the lads clearly not fit and only lasted 38mins? Bizarre. Not sure if there is enough in the side for us to get something out of this game in the 2nd half. Everton just need to up it a bit, and it should be comfortable for them.

That's what I was thinking. Like Shearer in his early days at Southampton when he was virtually unstoppable. His running put our lot to shame. Exactly - plays with no fear and just gets on with it. His battle with Dunne was entertaining. Didn't realise he was only on loan at Wigan? If he is and maintains his form - surely bigger sides will come in for him. Also agreed about putting most of our lot to shame.

Good game and was really impressed with Zaki. Reminds me very much of a certain Alan Shearer.

I think he'll walk next summer - possibly to Everton or Man City. He can't be faulted for his recent efforts at all. He's done his bit, whilst others have been content to hide.

Kinnear saying on Radio Newcastle that the first half wasn't good enough, and he went into the dressing room at HT to say a few words. Disappointed with Taylor's performance and also the way the two DC's were bullied by Santa-Cruz and Derbyshire. Also said the 2nd half was much improved, and also that the referee made 1 or 2 rotten decision
