  1. Christ - he doesn't look good. Fair play to him for still getting out and about. Hopefully the lads will get a win for him, tomorrow.
  2. Real hard men don't need/have to shout about it. Keane has always struck me as being nasty and full of bluster. In saying that, he has done a fair job down the road.
  3. Well played Shola tonight - credit where it's due.
  4. Great performance tonight in adversity and if someone had offered me 2-2 when Beye was sent off, I'd have snapped their hand off. Rob Styles and his officials were awful tonight - no way in a million years that it was a pen. Guess that's the way it goes when you are at the bottom. I hope (somewhat forlornly) that Beye's red card will be wiped out. Then again, we aren't Chelsea...... Thought Ameobi put in an excellent shift tonight and took his goal well (even if it was scuffed) - a good touch on the chest to hold off Dunne, IIRC. The lad needs to play like that consistently, but how long have we been saying that for? Never want to see Style's officiate one of our games again. The man's a shithouse.
  5. Jenas - couldn't happen to a nicer fella. Jamie Redknapp really having a go at the Spurs setup (having a DoF) Weren't we not lambasted a few weeks ago (in the main) for being opposed to such a regime?!
  6. We all thought that Ashley would get the club moving in the right direction. However, you have to remember the he lied to the fans ulimtately (and in print) Is this the kind of man you want to run your club?
  7. Agreed - it it's funny how it's the younger supporters who are pouring scorn on us older lot. I've been called paranoid and unrealistic recently by fans who can't remember this club prior to 1992/93. The danger signs are there for all to see, but will folk listen? Will they bollocks.
  8. I'll be surprised if it sells out, given how hard up folk are at the moment.
  9. Bridge has got no reason to shift - he's still going to get in the England squad, despite playing minimal games for Chelsea. Another problem with the modern day footballer.
  10. I watched that x factor s*** this morning.....it some how is much better this year.Wonder why? She's not bad, but she needs a good dinner inside of her! I've seen more meat on a flea's arse.
  11. I can't see us getting anything here - they are favourites and are long over due beating us at their place. The run has to come to an end some time.
  12. Customers (fans) have a rent to vent, surely? The booing was moronic but footballers should not remain above criticism. As for Cole - he's pretty much hated by many fans because he's an arrogant little bastard who thinks the whole world should revolve around him. Any opportunity that he gives, will be snapped up as a chance to give him stick. A lot of it I feel (in general) that footballers are now further away from the fans, than they have ever been. Joe Public isn't afraid to show disgust for players turning in half arsed performances, in return for a king's ransom in wages.
  13. People have a right to voice their opinions at a game. After all, they pay their money. Cole has made himself a target and I have no sympathy for him at all.
  14. It doesn't have to be that way though, Chez Given. The club has been ran on empty promises for years, whilst those running it still taking their hefty cut. We all thought things would change under, MA - but that's not happened. The new broom has been one which ultimately appeared as trying to deliver, but ending up lying to the fans and that's what's got a lot of people hacked off. Folk wouldn't mind seeing investors making a profit, if the club was doing something on the pitch. It's a long time since that's happened though.
  15. Did you bother reading any of the criticisms or do you think they should be allowed to say anything they like in the name of Newcastle supporters? Again - where have they said they are representative of all Newcastle fans?
  16. What about a group which is called NUSCFNC - Newcastle United Supporters Club for No Change. Because that's what many here appear to want. Still if they are happy to be continually buggered up the Gary Glitter by the club, then more the fool them. Things will never change because they don't have to - or not enough people want it.
  17. Can't believe the amount of grief that NUSC are getting? At no time (AFAIK) they have never said they are representative of the entire fan base. What they are doing is providing 'a voice', something which has been lacking for years. If folk are so against them - why not get off your arses and set up an alternative group? or would that be too much effort? The problem is with NUFC, is that it's taken the loyalty of it's fan base for granted, for generations - all the way back to the Seymours, Westwoods, McKeags, etc. That has to stop and if NUSC (or a likeminded group) can help bring about this, then they have my support. To the doubting Thomas' - either put up or shut up. Simple as.
  18. What was Richardson saying and who did Green racially abuse? (just out of interest)
  19. In defence of Supermac - he's never struck me as a man who sticks the boot into the club just for the sake of it. Far worse out there than him, IMO.
  20. It's something that many of us wonder about, and some are convinced that there are folk in the media who go out of their way to cause trouble at the club. It's something that Souness alluded to, after today's game. However he chose to attack the local media (probably The Three Legends), rather than outsiders who I feel are more to blame. We've become something of an easy target in recent years, with regards to the continual soap opera at the club. Since KK left, the media have gone into overdrive and it culminated with JK's rant at The Mirror hacks, last week. That was probably what many of us have wanted to say to the gutter press for some time and whilst the swearing was un-necessary, the overall message/intent came through loud and clear. I fully back JK on that. I expect though that he's now made himself a few enemies who will now seek to make his stay as uncomfortable as possible. However, today's excellent comeback at Everton should dilute any hassle. I'm sure plenty of hacks were poised to stick the knife in, should we have lost. For a club which isn't supposed to be 'big', we don't half get plenty of media attention and I bet the likes of Spurs, Everton and to a lesser extent, Liverpool - have been grateful for the goings on here. After all, it's deflected attention which those clubs could well have received due to politics at their club.
  21. I watched the interview. He never mentioned Supermac or Bob Moncur. Your stirring..... Maybe you should apply for a job in the Mirror. Think we all know who Souness was having a go at. As for stirring - not at all. Merely pointing out that in Souness' eyes, it's everyone else's fault bar his for why he failed here.
  22. Souness had a real go at the likes of Supermac and Bob Moncur. Not your fault though Graeme, eh?
  23. I actually thought Duff had a good 2nd half, after a very poor first one. *says it quietly*
