    Steve Harper

Sending Harps best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Wee bit scary as me and him are a similar age, where these things can start to happen.
  2. Not too long a list for me; Old Wembley x2 St James (old and new) Juventus (old) Roker Park Ayresome Park Bolton (new) Grimsby Blackburn (old and new) Darlington (Reynolds Arena) Hull (old) Blyth - Croft Park Bedlington Terriers - Welfare Park North Shields (new) Ashington (old) Morpeth (new)
  3. Good win for Blyth last night - 4-0 at home to Farsley. Goals from Cedric Main, Will McGowan (2) and Michael Liddle. Been a good start to the season, which makes a pleasant change in recent years!
  4. Me and my mate were in the top tier - bucket seats on concrete. Bogs were a disgace (hole in the ground, with everyone wading in piss ) One kiosk that sold dodgy tomato flavored crisps. I'm sure I remember the local ultras fighting with the police in the ground and water cannons being used? We all got held back after the game for an hour - then having to come out through a tunnel of coppers that had dogs, riot shields and machine guns. Nice!
  5. Didn't get to see owt of Torino - Toon Travel had us booked into a hotel, which was around 90mins away - Alesandria, which was a nice enough town. Mind, the hotel only had one bar and a couple of staff on when we got there.
  6. Have had a look for this weekend - probs gonna be either a trip to Newcastle Blue Star (for a look at their set up) or Bedlington Terriers.
  7. We'll have a natter this weekend and see what he fancies doing. I think Shields don't have a game.
  8. They a Sunday League side?# Oh - Northern Alliance, I see after checking. I'll discuss with the lad I look after next week - to see what he wants to do. Whitley is an alternative, as are Ashington (which would be a drive up and back) Blyth an option too, but £17 for a seat + me as carer seems a bit steep. Will see.
  9. They had everything in place last summer, but refused to push on. Has owt been said to the committee or Supermac? Mind - I don't know if the latter goes any longer. Been a while since we've seen him there.
  10. 5Live reckoning this will be ruled out It is - overturned
  11. If it were up to me, I'd suggest to the fella I look after at work, that we take his money elsewhere - Whitley or something. 'The Morgue' is handy for where he lives though - 10mins walk.
  12. It's sad, but that's the price will pay for having no ambition.
  13. Blyth concede 3 goals in the last 6 mins, to lose 3-1 at Boston. North Shields beat Northallerton Town 8-0 Ashington lose 2-0 away from home
  14. Has he spoken post match yet?
  15. For me - Bruno and Big Jo look off the pace. Loss of form maybe? Was just so dis-jointed and plodding today and that's what's surprising, because it's not us. Probs the worst defeat since Villa away (3-0) and it may even top that as being one of the worst since Eddie took over. However, the time is not to panic - Eddie needs to earn his money a bit over the next couple of weeks - back to the drawing board and take another look at things. Trust the process. As I said through the previous week, we were probably never gonna challenge for top 4 this coming season. A run at the CL and the cups should be priority, IMO. We've come so far in two years - people need to remember that a bit and temper their expectations.
  16. It’s been really shite. As poor as I’ve seen us in the 2 years since Eddie took over,
  17. Brentford level it up v Bournemouth 2-2
  18. North Shields batter Northallerton Town 8-0 in front of just over 200 They've lost over 150 on the gate though.
  19. Chelsea miss a sitter (Jackson)
  20. Brentford 1 Bournemouth 2 Brookes
  21. Man City 4 Fulham 1 Haaland with his 2nd (pen) Boro 0 QPR 2 Carrick to get the shove soon?
