Agreed. Until now there has been no sign of any intention to spend the Carroll money. I was done with thinking the owners wanted anything for this club, other than to balance the books and sell it, when that appeared to be the case. You could argue it's just a continuation of the Cabaye signing etc, but I can see why it's considered something extra. Keeping a club ticking over suggests doing an Everton. Bobby would have played him every game and told everybody how good he was, they would have loved each other. Its times like this that makes me really miss Bobby and demonstrates the gulf of difference between Bobby and wannabes like Pards. Apart from his preference for Bowyer over Solano towards the end, Bobby was always spot on in the way he managed flair players. He would have gotten the best out of HBA and let him play his natural game, Pardew's constant negative sound bytes is just going to inhibit his game and at can be demotivating What a crock. Robson could be just as bad, especially in the way he failed to make the most of Viana.
