What a terrifically offensive and inaccurate thread title.

Outside of having a contract for another 2 seasons, he's in limbo!? Give over.
-
Wouldn't go that far. Was bailed out twice by his defenders. Decent performance though. Be interesting to see what Van Marwijk has to say about it.. Aye, decent, kicking not the best either if we are being picky... but I really shouldn't be, so... Well done Tim, proud as punch to see you out there against Brazil.

How no one else had noticed or mentioned this sinister angle yet is beyond me. Well done for saying what needed to be said, tbh.
-
That's cute and all, but seeing as he has played for us pretty damn recently... no.
-
Maybe he hasn't applied for any? I would find that pretty staggering considering the noises he has come out with himself about getting back into a job asap (and not going back to coaching). He's certaily been heavily linked to a number of them including reports that he met with the WBA board etc, but, I guess we'll never know. If he doesn't get a job soon mind, there's a danger his ship might have sailed.

First off, nobody in the world would suggest a manager has any sway over deciding a wage offer, and not a chance in hell that would happen under this lot. As such, it is not a dig at Keegan. Secondly, it seems fairly plausible they sat down with Owen to get an extension in place with a slight increase for him until effectively the end of the season, when he could go, and we could expect some cash for him in return rather than lose him on a free.

A pretty reasonable assumption I'd have thought, no?

Good luck, sweet prince of the flannel shuffle.

Has a vaguely foreign smell about it sadly. Deffo not the RVI.

Ah, I hate all you wankers and leaders of Lorient getting my hope's up.
-
There's no time for that!?! He's supposed to be clicking the 'I agree to the terms and conditions' tick box on our contract prior to signing today!
-
You'd hope so, seeing as it's their cock up.

Patience is a Virtue Lad! Plus this is Newcastle, When have they EVER done anythin quickly (apart fropm sacking people) This whole summer has been about doing things quickly to be fair. /Which is good because I doubt we'll hit the bullseye on the majority of our targets. //Still, better to be looking up at the stars. there is a rumour doing the rounds that we have agreed fees and such with 2 players but not anyone mentioned so far. bearing in mind the tiote deal where we had agreed stuff with another incase tiote didn't come here (urugauayan or chilean i think)........maybe they do have a plan ? No doubt. Fingers crossed, if it's a half decent plan to push us on, it plays out like a blinder.

Long liquid lunch there Madras?

Ever heard of a player called Shay Given........... Agreed, we were indeed held to ransom by Shay. Apparently contrary to popular opinion though, I don't think the money we got for Given or N'Zogbia at that time was wildly below their worth considering the situation we were in.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Because he hasn't actually signed the contract yet. Nothing new. Making news out of nowt imo. http://img.skysports.com/09/01/218x298/Joe-Kinnear-Newcastle-United-West-Ham-United-_1759724.jpg Saj Chowdhury? ..... You're a c**t. -
I'd really like some of the overseas lads to comment on this stuff. Is the foreign media really just portraying us as jumped up bad losers causing trouble? Some of the stuff coming out from the likes of Grondona is absolutely mindblowing.
