Even without Tiote and to be fair, Barton. That is a queue of the type of quality and likeable players I might have struggled to believe I'd see at the club together. Fair fucking play to that.
  2. Defenders are having a go at him now that he is a Liverpool player apparently.
  3. "IF Andy Carroll had any doubts he was stepping up a level when he swapped the home-town comforts of Newcastle for the pressure cooker of Merseyside, they will have been pretty quickly erased." - Daily Post
  4. Love your optimism, but I'm not sure exciting is how I'd describe any transfer window. Hopefully there'll be more highs than lows, but stressfull anticipation seems to make up 99% of the bloody things.

Good to see some challenging him on TT, asking for an apology from him as well. What complete sad sack that lad is.
  6. Her bosses are going to need quite a bit of rubbing with all kinds of soothing embrocation if she oversees the bubble blowers drop down to the fizzy pop this season.
  7. It now looks somewhat like some arse wearing a tank top and a tie over a white t-shirt.
  8. Harper. Sherler. Saylor. Raylor.
  9. Jonas looked like he was in trouble with his ma for half the interview. Good to see the smiles at the end though.
  10. Er, no. Whether the people who work with him day in day out and who might have a better understanding of his previous form choose to buy him or not; Having him here to assess his ability to get on with, and add to the squad, for fuck all outlay, is still a very positive thing in my humble opinion.
  11. There's no need to play him as long as we keep the PL-spot. And we're not paying Villa before he plays. The best thing is that we will be able to buy him for much lower price. So I don't see any problem. You would buy him? Why not? Even if he doesn't play a single game, we'll have had 5 months to run the rule over him in training and check whether he has the right mentality to work well with the players we have. If we end up buying him, we'll have a much better idea of what we're getting and all without having to pay for the priviledge.

    Sweet! Thanks.
  13. Doesn't that actually back up my version - ie Milner thought he deserved a rise, not Milner was promised a rise? Quite. Milner felt he should get a new contract based on his development over the year and worth to the club (from his point of view, a not unreasonable request), but there is no indication of these broken promises people are banging on about whatsoever.
  14. Your post pretty much mirrors my feelings over his sale to the letter.

Give over, the only reason Adam is still at the club is because of a fuckup getting the paperwork signed. There was no valiant fight to reject Tottenhams offer. I gather from that, you disagree? Take it up with Redknapp: “we missed out by minutes... ...the chairman couldn't get hold of two shareholders who had to sign the forms as well. It's just one of those things." I think it's naive to suggest that Blackpool didn't put up a fight to keep him. Holloway, Jan 20th: "Charlie has signed a contract and someone can come in all they like, but it's not his choice and it's not their choice. He belongs to us and he is contracted for 18 months. "You have to behave with respect and not all players do that sometimes, but that is the way the game is. "I think he is still improving, I think he belongs to us and if someone wants to offer money, I think they are wasting their time because we don't need to sell him at the moment." A nice facepalm and now nieve? Cheers, but unsurprisingly I disagree with you again. Using Blackpool as an example of showing ambition as opposed to us over Carroll is a little hard to stomach, and that is why I picked up on it. The quote you picked is one of his milder ones. Holloway was mouthing off left right and centre giving both barrels to Adam's agent on more than one occasion and to Adam himself. But so what? It wasn't his decision in the end. There was really very little difference between Holloway and Pardew in that respect, or Blackpool and Newcastle. We equally dug in our heals in until a ridiculous offer came in; Blackpool simply got one too late in the day and were just not able to get their act together to finish off the paper work.
  16. A serious buyer would have a estimate of the total price, and no problem entering talks for 250K. For all other media seeking attention whores, its not worth it. Pretty good move imo

Yup, quality always conquers and given a run of games like Besty, he'll be banging them in like nobody's business. Delighted he's signed a new contract. Check my Avatar to grasp how his appetite for a bulging onion net is, quite simply, insatiable!

Yup, relaxed, sensible, and pretty open.
