  1. None of 'em. But you could also argue that there were 3 or more poorer squads in the league compared to West Ham's in 3002/3. Have you built a time machine? Gah... We've been found out Pinky. /sorry 2002/3

  3. I agree. Luque should indeed be given a run of games. blueyes.gif No, I said he HAS "shown more than enough to suggest he could become a very good signing". Well, while we wait for that prediction to come to pass, hows about giving another expensive player with slightly less misfiring shooting boots a chance as well eh.

  5. A problem he exacerbated by telling the world and his dog that Robson would not be getting a new contract.
  6. The club has been reduced to a position that we will have great difficulty recovering from. Sadly shouting COME ON YOU TOON! gets us diddly as long as the wrong people remain in power.
  7. Thankfully just limited to 3 names these days.
  8. Sacking Robson was inevitable and should have happened at the same time as Houllier. Robson knew his time was short and was willing to help bring in a successor. Sadly the fuckwit in charge said he couldn't shoot Bambi - a fucking insult in anyones book, gives him another year and says he will be sacked after that, leaving a dead duck in charge. Then the twat sacks him a few games in without any clue who to replace him with, leaving him to pay nearly a million to get Shitness on a long term contract. The man is an utter (utter) cunt. An utter (utter) cunt.
  9. No, get your facts straight. Most of the posts here have said we were the better side, but that as the better side we cannot even win at home to them in the league. That causes worry. Does it not worry you? Do you even sodding care? No idea what's got your panties in a knot mate. All I'm saying is that I don't like the tone of a lot of the posts that are going up these days. Of course I'm worried about our bad form, what I'm against is the very loud minority that's suddenly jumped up to declare the entirety of our coaches, our players, and our club as a whole a piece of steaming doggie-poop over 10 games of bad form. Drink sir. Drink has got my panties in a wad (along with the spiraling shitness of our club), forgive me. Nevertheless, I am amazed that you cannot seem to understand why simmering annoyance has turned into anger. People are trying to find the reasons as to why our club is, if anything, going backwards, and as such are apportioning blame. Most of that is going to the chairman, another chunk is being thrown at the manager, while the rest is being apportioned to the players. Nobody enjoys 'pissing on their own club' but for fucks sake things are going wrong, cannot continue in the current vein, and need sorting. Don't blame the rest of us for the negativity, but blame the state of the club. This is not a chicken and egg scenario. *hick* bluebiggrin.gif

  11. Correct. Beat me to it. Me too.
  12. Spellings for idiots. We all know who you meant and value your input. Here, have a panda. (“\(*-*)/”)
  13. Sir, you do not stand a chance. We are on a fantastic UNBEATEN run at the moment, and our upbeat style of play will CONFOUND your manager and make your players LOSE THE WILL TO LIVE. We will literally BORE you into SUBMISSION!
  14. Yes While I cannot see relegation as a real threat just yet, I would still disagree with that. I think that there could have been a hell of a lot more the club could have done to insulate us from the possibility of the drop. We should be nowhere near the possition we now find ourselves with a modicum of forward planning and the right appointments.
  15. ... find out in the next exciting episode of 'Premiership Passions, The Black And White Generation'. Only on Bravo.
  16. But hey, don't worry! Do you worry that you could get hit by a bus tomorrow? I would try my reasonable best to limit the chances of that happening. Do you think the club in recent times is performing its reasonable best to achieve success and avoid the drop? bluewink.gif
  17. Aye, because they'll get booed if they win.
  18. Continue that level of acceptance until the end of the season and we will end up with bang on 36 points. Cutting it pretty fine there don't ya think. bluewink.gif
  19. After he embarrassed himself the last time he sent Luque out to warm up, maybe the beaky twat has developed some sort of phobia.
  20. That's right Glenn, they were a team of heroes out there. That ball breaker lady luck deserted them again right? By Christ, she has a lot to answer for these days, eh! blueyes.gif How fucking depressing.
  21. They'll want to make money. This can only be done by, first and foremost, by pursuing success on the pitch and making Newcastle once again a team that people want to watch – something that now seems to be way beyond Shepherd and his cronies. Aye, they might fail. But then again, this is the second season in a row where the consensus is that we're in danger of relegation. So what's to fear from a change at the top? Hoo Victa, answer the man.
  22. You forget that their investigations into a takeover have been rumbling on for some time. How long did the Abramovich deal take? Things may have been going on in the backgroung for a while, but it seemed like a bolt out the blue when it actually went through. This isn't an Abramovich situation though, this is a Glazer. Negotiate with one shareholder then another, then another, always looking for the best value for money. Find out who wants to cling on tto their shares and avoid negotiations, and finally accumulate enough shares to trigger a complete takeover. And as I say, discussions and gentlemens agreements with shareholders may already be in place and Shepherd is just the final stumbling block. They still seem confident, so that does indicate to me that all that may remain is a difference in valuation between themselves and Freddy, and things could move faster than you we might think. Jol, of course you are right, just as NE5 is right to be wary, the grass is not always greener. But we cannot control who Shepherd sells to or even whether he sells. All we can do is continue to express our anger until he bucks up his ideas or gives up. Either way, something has to give. Remaining in the current downward spiral is the worst option by far.

  24. Gary Speed. A track record second to none in identifying talent, man management, tactics, and driving his teams to success! What a bizzare choice to, as you put it, inspire confidence in players and supporters. Maybe a few years down the line but right now he would be given even less leeway than Roeder if things continued to fall apart. Anyway, I still find it pretty shabby to be talking about another manager already. Direct your ire at Shepherd by all means, but continually hammering the manager with this kind of speculation does nothing to help the team imho, and as we have seen in the past, does little to affect the fat ones decisions in the end anyway.
  25. Don't forget to add your comments to the Telegraph article chaps. blueyes.gif
