I'd like to think Howe is open to learning, and he'll be reviewing every decision and be self critical. If he doesn't address his early season approach to rotation then we'll have this issue over and over, lessening as we go on as quality will improve and options will be better. If you don't think it's an issue then fine, doesn't seem many do, but if he has nothing to learn from this season and how to manage additional games and expectations, then experience is over rated at this level.

Recently is not the issue. Hands are tied now. When he has options he didn't use them, now he doesn't have them he can't. Its partly down to quality, and him liking to take a while to bed players in, but I think you have to rotate it to early detriment for long term benefit.

Absolutely not bothered about being knocked out. Reckon we'd only be good for one more round anyway. It was a tough 6 games, which was managed well enough considering options and circumstances and will have improved our porfile. Apart from Dortmund, we held our own. I am still disappointed at that stupid run from schar. It's not like his previous, it's far too deep going for a 1 2. He either shoots outside the box, keeping him in position to run back, or stops and allows someone else to fill the space. The moment went to his head, from one of our most experienced as well. That moment cost us European football and a chance of a trophy. We'd have been decent in that, and if we won it, back in the CL next season. Really stupid decision. More sqaud depth will help us in the future, we'll never be as weak as we are as right now, so Howes methods will be OK. Still, his reluctance to change a team has led us to many other problems and it shouldn't be a crime to say so. I said it was a test. It really is. 1st half we were great but again legs and minds failed. Do that against Fulham and it'll be the same result and that one will really take it's toll if its a loss (I think it will be unfortunately) god help us if we pick up any more injuries in it whilst not getting a result.

Just preparing you. Every game now is a game too far.

Just wait till Fulham beat us.

Had Milan 2-1. Was buzzing.

Gutted. But as long as its not a tidemark like with sbr team, then I'll be happy enough later down the line.
-
You don't make that run with tired legs, not with what's at stake. Hollywood run has put us out of Europe.

Gonna have to retire the 67 shirt after tonight.

Somewhere in byker, someone just did both simultaneously

What a fucking goal.

Great defending. Would love to bring him home.

Can't even mstch the owners donation. The owner should remember this next time they cry for more players.

Turkish football is a disgrace. I see they've postponed all games. They need to throw the club out of the league and order him off the board or sell up depending if owner. Fractured face ffs. From a club president.

Kobel is currently out injured as well (almost life imitating art with Fm24) but I think that would be a world class upgrade if we wanted to do it right.

Said after everton this problem exists more now, as he doesn't have the experience of European football and the toll it brings (he may need to trade off that earn every min and be 100% ready, especially atm) but next season and from there on he'll have better players to choose from. Plus, all tge young lads like hall are a year further on and could be a different beast entirely. Shame we can't spin on a couple of seasons. 100% set too high a bar getting CL at tge 1st attempt, then getting a group like that, plus other nails cup draws. Some softer games and we could have rotated more.

Yeah we buy him regardless. I think what Howe is saying is that he hasn't shown him why to start him ahead of trippier or livra, but that's not really what we need right now. We need to have others in even if the performance might not merit it fully. Fulham are in high spirits, won't be an easy game, and I can't see us keeping a clean sheet unless we get longstaff back.
-
I said it last week but I'm really worried we end his career early by running him into the ground. If we want him to continue at his peak for another 2 seasons then we will have to pick and choose whst games he plays. Today was the day to rest him. Hall at lb and livra at rb. Rest him for Milan where his experience will be needed, in a game where we should have a stronger hold on.

Dubravka has never recovered from the howler in the euros. You can pin point the moment which ended him as a top half keeper. I hadn't realised he was this out of it though. Looks static and slow, and no one at the back has any confidence in him. If we're not buying a keeper, we've got to get de Gea in for the rest of the season.
-
Huge apologies to Neej, looks like I did mention Gerrard as a potential candidate. Ffs. I honestly hand on heart have no recollection of that. ? Fuck me. I'm out.
-
Need to get rid of all of our keepers at the end of the season bar Pope.

I wasn't sure. I gave him time then time started to run out and we looked doomed. That's when I questioned him. So what? He needed to do better and he did. Doesn't matter if I gave him a free hit or not, general consensus was he had one, especially with the board. In fact it was more about the shite luck and things just not happening for him more than having a go at him. If we don't win a game before the derby will you still sit there saying its not a test?
-
This isn't me not wanting Howe, I'll back him, but I'm not going to pretend he's blameless in this and certainly can see some difficult games coming up in quick succession and with a derby looming this is a real test for him. Don't see the issue in saying that. It is. Anyone thinking it's not is in denial.

I wanted Emery. I wasn't sure if Howe had enough in him. Gerrard when never a mention. Its a cunts trick making shit up like that.
