two expensive loan fees. Glad he's knocking Quashy on the head. Funny though he said he's had no contact with Birmingham. -
Slightly warming to the idea of him coming in for nowt.
-
Why so greasy?
-
Can't blame him, the club is a joke and in the biggest mess it has ever been in in its Prem history. Anyone but a Newcastle fan would want out of this embarrassment...even some of the adopted ones have had enough. Zog must look at Given and think, should i waste my career and time here like he has and win nothing, or do i go to a club with stability, a chance of winning medals and some pride? Only those who have no career left or care about the money will come or stay here, plus the toon lads. Terrible times.

Well deserved, nowhere near the same standard this season though.

Why would Manchester City want Bellamy or Owen though. It makes no sense. They want to emulate the big four, correct? So why are they looking to sign players on their secnd to last legs. When you look at Chelsea's transfer strategy in the early years under Abramovich, it was genius compared to what The Citizens are going after. Chelsea didn't sign a whole bunch of huge names, but they certainly did not go after players who were nearing 30 and had the last few seasons ravaged by injury. They'll need to replace them in two or three years, and that's assuming they haven't fallen of the football map due to injury. Certainly have no potential high resale value either. Chelsea were far better established than Citeh the years before RA, they also have capital pull. It's going to be hard to attract the best until a firm base of success is there, and these signings Hughes is making, or trying to, are him trying to get in what he knows works in the league; and kudos to the board allowing him to do that, but at some point they'll pull rank and buy another Robinho out of the blue. Resale value matters little when they are trying to make an impact. Buying big players off the continent is big risk ala Shevchenko, whereas proven EPL goalscorers like Owen are available on the cheap and would do a regular job. -
Butt; as Smith doesn't have a position. At least Butt's a shit DMC. Smith is just a shit.

Quashie? Has he been linked? He's been relegated out of the prem 5 times already. A record. -
Haven't we history with him? As in he turned us down saying club X was bigger (thinking X was Rangers)

Agreed although after being linked with Madrid and Milan he probably thinks he is to big for us. /but the lad doesn't want to go sit on the bench and why he's turning them down. Wigan are apparently fav to sign him, prob a replacement for Valencia. -

Would like to see us go for Pennant. His fee is not going to be massive and i reckon he's a better winger than Duff, and would bring some assets to the right wing we don't have leaving Jonas to go on the left if Zoggy goes. -
I hear the Liverpool fans are already planning a minutes silence in memory of Rafa Benitez's dignity.
-
One sure thing; Fergie will be wetting himself at this.
-
Coming from an Everton fan who's manager is the King of the Whinge. He's just a miserable b***ard at times. Leave Dave alone He should sign Zoggy, that would be a riveting press conference.
-
Unbelievable some of the things that go for them.
