  1. How do you know they've dropped the ball? I know nothing about him other than that he's a coach, I haven't a clue if he's good or bad and don't know how you would either. It just looks like you've found something else to have a go at the club about. I'm reasonably sure that if Keegan wanted him to be here next season he'd have sorted something out. That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, i happen to think you are completely wrong and are viewing the club with NUFC rose tinted glasses on brought to you by the new regime. 14 months ago you'd be going mad at something like this, how times change. Chelsea want him, Moyes wants him, England had him, and we let him go for free. Those who want him say enough of his quality for me. Head out of sand time for Mick.
  2. Aye its common knowledge he said those things, in fact if IIRC he said it after an away trip to SJP!
  3. Just calling time on his international career by the sounds of it. Full retirement would be better than any signing.
  4. Maybe they were going to make him work for his new deal and not treat him like a spoilt kid "I want a new contract!" "Here you go son" Sure. The lad gets less than £10kpw (a contract signed in his debut season) puts his heart and soul into the club, and his contract is running out. How dare he ask for an improved deal. are you his mother or his agent.......maybe the sally army ffs How retard, shut it.
  5. Fair enough, but he wasn't wanting it, what he wanted was a new deal in January. The club fuked about and lost by the sounds of it a good coach, again. Hardly going to expect Keegan to decide whether or not to keep him on in January. Ferb, March, April, May? Did it need that long to figure it out? Everton had it sussed and he didn't even work for them. Protect the club as much as you want, but they've dropped the ball yet again on this one.
  6. I honestly can't think what you see in Viduka. I know we all see our own players in a more favourable light, but when I see Viduka, I just see one of the most immobile strikers I've ever seen. I think he's a fat lazy injured waste of good skin. And yes, i do look at him favourably since he plays for us.

  8. I heard that it is he who isn't signing as a promotion to Ass Man at Everton is on the cards. Yes that job offer has been on the table for the last year hasn't it? Pretty much, since November. Have you got a link?

  10. Round wanted by Chelsea & Everton deemed not good enough to offer him a new contract until days before his current one runs out. Mickey mouse club strikes again.
  11. Mr Katory does have a cracking theatre team at the QE like Really good news to hear Is that where you work? I don't like the place, two of my grandparents died there (Well one got moved to the Marie Curie centre near Elswick for his final few days, but still )
  12. Dave's list of 'oooh, these haven't signed anyone of importance yet' gets smaller and smaller doesn't it?
  13. So another top Premiership player ditching us to go abroad?? Damn according to the highly-regarded France Football magazine Might as well be tribal football reporting this lifted straight from NUFC blog.
  14. I've never seen Rio do stuff like that, on the other hand he's comfortable on the ball but that doesn't mean he's great at bringing it out of the defence, which some people seem to assume is the same thing. I'm shocked how many times it goes unnoticed. It was my Manu supporting mate who pointed it out end of last season, i've seen him do it loads since. Surprised Fergie hasn't give him a bollocking, then again it might be classed as good attacking play that doesn't always pay off. If Taylor did something like that we'd have a heart attack, but then again he doesn't have the talent and certainly the speed, or the team around him to recover and recover well.
  15. I never said i didn't rate him, he's just a liability when bringing the ball out of defence. He gets a rush of blood when he gets near the halfway line and has flashes of himself becoming Ronaldo and tends to lose the ball. The fact he's a cracking defender with pace to burn means he recovers well most of the time and gets away with it.
  16. I really have no idea who. The defenders i rate simply wouldn't come here and i don't take as much notice of a good defender as a good attacker when watching footie from abroad. Celluer seems to be rock solid, would be the 1st name that comes to mind. People have this obsession with a 'ball playing centre half' which apparently KK loves, can't say i noticed that in his 1st days here, but it was a while ago, secondly who are these ball playing centre halves? Thirdly, what makes a good one, someone who can pass? A good ball playing defender is not just a good passer, but is someone who can carry the ball out of defence and into the midfield, forcing a central midfielder to deal with it, allowing a team mate to push on up the pitch with more space. Plus they need to be able to defend, as well as any other. Rio ferdinand springs to mind with that description The guy does more damage than good though, 1/10 times he strolls into mid with the ball he loses possession, he's fuking terrible at it.

I'd sign up to that tbf! Someone else in ahead of Alan Smith, yes. Piling all the expectation on a 16 year old, no. You could have picked a much better example though!

  20. He's half decent, and looked a lot better for Holland than his time at chelsea, but that time where he got megged, fell over and they conceded (they did didn't they?) and looked a right tit means that no one in this league could ever take him seriously again. Same with John Terry then after Ronaldinho done the exact same to him, yes? Wow Ronaldinho (at the time arguably the best player in the world) done him, never live it down. Or Boulahrouz living down some incident which I honestly can't say I remember. He'll be an upgrade on what we've got, what's the problem man? No real problem, just have some reservations about him. Think it was Robbie Keane, remember pissing myself laughing at the time, but not as much as WHL tbf. He was playing at RB though. That incident aside he's not very good in the air, is on mental Chelsea wages, and again another Chelsea cast off, most which never work for us, and i cannot remember one game where he looked good for Chelsea.

Not expecting much then? How am i expecting anything? Just saying it would be nice to see him in action early. I was talking about the Rooney comment... I was also joking. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell that's not my label, just one that the media are using, just got a tad excited at the sound of us signing the next Rooney! (Fingers crossed the deal goes through) i reckon we will see him next season as a sub though, well i'm hoping rather than expecting.

Really excited about this one, just the level of interest and that we've finally beat someone to a player, a player with apparent potential and very highly regarded. I wonder how close he is to bit appearances? He's just turned 16 hasn't he? Could be our Youngest Prem player if we bring him on next season for a few minutes, it would be great if he realy is the next Rooney.
