it would be a shame but we'd have to if he wasn't going to return to what he was. That's it like, its a tough one to call and i couldn't do it. There's a chance its downhill from no on with injuries and sporadic form, or this is just a blip which he'll grow mentally stronger and help him peak, because he's still 1-2 years away from that. (average)

Ever heard those DJ mix off things? Mental they are and some lad at the world championships had two decks, one with a tune one, and the other just a monotone noise, and he cuts/scratched & mixed the bassline for 7NA. Quite impressive.

Like who? Cisse, Guivarch, Pauleta, Utaka, Camara, Diouf, i mean top of me head, all scored plenty of goals and looked great in France, elsewhere nowhere near as good. Isn't Pauleta Portugal's all-time top scorer? And Camara, Diouf and Utaka's records were pretty good, not at Pele's rate though. Anyways man, Guivarc'h was like awesome. Haha! (was very off the top of my head) Probably, most were pens though! (probably) Everytime i've seen him he's been wank, and his record in France is magic. Another thing that sticks in my mind is Juninho's free kicks, around 50% of them would have been saved by average prem keepers, although the standard in France has risen quite a bit recently from what i hear. Its been a soft league for so long, i find it hard to judge a player in it statistically, my opinion of their league is very low, shown by Lyon taking the utter piss without even trying. I reckon a team like ourselves would finish second every year with the squad we've got and i reckon players like Shola could be a 20 a season man. My problem with Rozenhal when we were bidding for him was exactly this, soft league, and the soft shite didn't do much to change my opinion of it, same goes for Cacapa.

£6m for Lennon is a decent price. If KK doesn't rate Given then we should look at a straight swap, personally i don't think we should give up on Shay the amount the lad had done for us over the years.

4 in the league, 15 in total. Oh fuk.
  8. And really is a tit for thinking so; but i reckon he just doesn't want the club being raped getting rid of the crap. We need the biggest overhaul the footballing world has ever seen, i'm sure deep down KK knows this, in fact i'm banking on it and i get very excited everytime one of our pieces of shit gets floated out of the club because that is the beginning of the overhaul.

Feel like this one could happen, by the sounds of him he's around our level. Must admit i've never seen him play (if i have i don't remember him) but have heard of him before, i think (going off your comments on him in here) that's the type of player NUFC need to be tracking down now, someone with potential, someone with a half decent record already but with some flaws which need ironing out. We need another targetman type player, Shola couldn't do it, Carrol is too young and Viduka is a fat lazy injured tart. 15 goals in the league this season? Didn't Gomis only get 17? Saying that some rather average players in the past in France have been scoring like Pele in prime so, pinch of salt really.
  10. Not hindsight, but the ability to judge a player without needing a ruski season ticket. My oh my.
  11. There is a chance, he hasn't agreed a move to anywhere so we've really got to push the boat out and bring him in. I think the fee won't rise too much, i don't see him going for more than £13m max, i reckon the £11m bids would still be accepted as long as its cash up front, its the personal terms, and with him on a reported £50kpw, then were going to have to double that, then we've got to ask ourselves is he worth doing a U-turn on our wages policy? Could we give him that and expect Owen to take a cut? Brings up all sorts of issues, but it would be nice to see the club deal with those issues, ie, put a fuking bid in you stupid indecisive fools. Well Russian sources say we put a bid in. Zenit took steps to deny an Arsenal bid, but didn't deny us. That could be interpreted in two or three ways though. Regardless, Arshavin has already said he won't talk to anyone until after Euro 2008 so whether we bid now is going to be irrelevant if other clubs are interested. At least we can now move forward with van der Vaart. He won't talk, doesn't mean we cannot get a bid accepted from Zenit.
  12. Another rusky might do the trick, there certainly is plenty of attacking quality i wouldn't mind seeing here as well as their GK. But where there's a Russian there's an Abramovic with tons of money quite happy to bring in a fellow Rusky to his beloved club.

  14. Right, its concrete bid time or concrete boots for the lot of them at SJP. Make a choice lads.
  15. Should have got our arses into gear as soon as the season was over and put in bids. Don't worry KK is back off holiday now, just you watch him go. Go Kevin!!!
  16. And Portugal yesterday. Just waiting for the Spanish banana skin and the usual suspects do it again.
  17. We should have had him in Jan, too much fuking about by the board/KK cost us. A blind man could see back then he's got immense talent, now the whole world has and we've no fuking chance. Well done again this club.
  18. When you've got fuk all its worth taking a reasonable risk on someone, Barnes, Arshivan is a reasonable risk imo. Most of those duds have come as very good palyers who've done well in the league and look how that turned out. How is Arshavin or whatever his name is a "reasonable risk", can you explain that to me? Short of you being a *insert name of whoever the hell he plays for here* season ticket holder on the sly or at least having some sort of subscription to The Ruski Channel, I fail to see how you could possibly know that. Done well in Europe (nearly one in two in the Eufa cup) and NT level and has interested a lot of top clubs in Europe, some a lot bigger than ourselves, that's how its a reasonable risk. Every player is a risk FFS, surely a one with obvious talent isn't so much of one? So you need to attend 50 games to have an opinion on a player? You've just described Albert Luque there, you realise that? The UEFA Cup is fucking shit mate, you know that as well as I do. Until the quarters, you play teams from Israeli mountain villages. Let's say he turns out to be shit, hardly out of the realms of possibility, KK's spent £10m on him, do you think Ashley's going to be overjoyed when he comes for more money in four months and Keegan says "Sorry, but he looked good on a video"? Also describes Elano. Yes Wullie, fine words of wisdom in this thread.
  19. There's more chance of Mike Ashley getting into a size 28" (w) pair of jeans than us getting Arshavin into the Toon.
  20. I think your points are debatable, certainly not laughable. I do think Ronaldo is more consistent and and refined, but he is older. Messi is really injury prone and is already a player who you cannot rely on or build a team around. Not sure about commercial, but again reckon the twat has the edge, and a move like this would generate mass hype. As for players i think the clubs are the attraction rather than certain individuals (at this level) and even though Messi has the better given talent, but he possibly hasn't done as much with it compared to Ronaldo who's contribution really did help Manu win the double this season. Messi is better than Ronaldo was at the age of 20 though. I did say Messi has the better given talent, and i did say Ronaldo is older and more refined, so...yeah, were right.
