So is Taylor a media whore then (in terms of this story)?

Agreed. He's very inconsistent in a shite league, not a good sign. Is 67 goals in 136 games for Spartak and 9 in 21 for Russia inconsistant ? You have high standards. Apparently he's very hot and cold, he might of tonked a few teams with 3 or 4 goals a match i don't know, just passing on what i've heard from the commentators.

Derdiyok: I don't know much about him, but this really is the type of player we need to be going for. Really the likes of Gomis, Arshavin, Arda are the icing on the cake, i'm not saying its impossible, but currently its looking like it. We need to looks elsewhere and start getting the bodies through the doors, because if we don't start soon were going to be held over a barrel for every target, more so as the window moves on. If KK thinks he's good enough then really i trust him enough to make a decision on a lad so young with promising future ability. £6m is nowt if we get £3m for Ameobi.

He's going to Barca, its his dream... He once had a nightmare about us though.

Mid July, panic buys all round.

Is he that good? PS: Paul Mosley is such a Ref's name.

Shame when Collina was more famous than 80% of the Players in Serie A.

Good luck to the bairn, he's going to need it. Can't believe they are churning prem ref's out younger than me now!

Rookie ref Attwell secures shock promotion to the Premier League The Premier League will have the youngest referee in its history next season. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/06/24/article-0-01BA677100000578-158_306x480.jpg At just 25, little-known Stuart Attwell is also thought to be the youngest ever official to reach the top flight of English football. It is a meteoric rise for the Warwickshire referee in that it comes after just one season in the Football League. Attwell's shock promotion was confirmed to Sportsmail last night by Professional Game Match Officials as he joins Keith Hackett's select group for the new season. He is the new record holder by the considerable margin of four years. Mark Clattenburg was 29 when he become the previous youngest in 2004. Hackett has long been committed to bringing officials through earlier, effectively lengthening a career that lasts only to the age of 48 but also allowing referees to operate at a high level when their fitness is at its peak. Hackett also wants a balance between experience and youth. Michael Jones — a second League referee promoted for Premiership duty yesterday — is a seasoned campaigner of 40. But the spotlight will fall on Nuneaton-based Attwell. He made his League debut on August 11 last season at Edgar Street for a League Two game between Hereford and Rotherham and ended the campaign by taking charge of the League Two play-off final at Wembley between Rochdale and Stockport. Attwell has a degree in sports science and works for UK Sport.

Money makes Magpies move Former Walsall boss appointed academy director Newcastle United have appointed former Walsall manager Richard Money as the club's new academy director. Money resigned from his post at the Bescot Stadium in April, citing his desire to acquire a fresh challenge. The 52-year-old will now oversee The Magpies' development of youth as the club seeks to improve their promotion of young talent from within. Money has previously managed in Sweden and Australia while he has worked at youth level at Aston Villa, Coventry and Nottingham Forest. He said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me, a really big challenge. "I have got a lot of experience of working with young players, so this is a job I am well qualified to do." http://img.skysports.com/08/02/218x298/moneyrichard_645710.jpg I know this has been slightly posted in a previous thread but thought it would be nice to draw it to peoples attention (if its passed them) and also for any future academy announcements, signings, or Money talk. Also i quite like the idea of experienced managers from a lower level managing our youth, it shows were taking it seriously. PS: Anyone know how Ryan Donaldson is doing these days?

Like these ones? http://images.usatoday.com/news/_photos/2006/12/27/polar-topper.jpg

At least he'd be used to getting down quick when there's a sniper about.

Exactly what i was thinking!

Hardly flopping at either and is only 23/24. Injuries kept him out at Birmingham not him being gash. Srna is a clear cut above him though. Where's you old team gone? Bullard & Co? (oh Bullard is still there) Were we going to start with Kadar & Tozer as first choice defenders for next season, i cannot remember? Bullard on the left wing Krul and Zambrela were starting IIRC.
