I think this thread has gotten to the point where lists of names don't even register in people's brains. I'm sure!
-
It must just be easier to type their names like.

I think he'll add about 4 or 5 and keep the rest as squad players. That would be an improvement and would keep a bit of stability. I don't think we need another summer with loads going out and loads coming in really. I'm torn tbh. There is so much crap it needs to go, yet doing so and replacing them is going to be a hard task, but for some slight turbulence initially, it would be the best thing long term. I mean who would ever want to see Carr or Smith back on the pitch for this club? Duff, Shola, Emre, Ramage wouldn't really be missed, why not get them off the books and replace them with players KK sees as his and what he wants. Just not really sure what would be best. You can only really persuade first teamers to come to the club though. It's hard to persuade a player to come to this club if they know they'll be a bit-squad player, runner-up to whoever is out there on the pitch. Exactly. So if the decks are cleared they've got a good chance, or am i missing your point?

Ronnie quoting to say he wants to join a club who are on the up, doesn't want to join a big European club which demands so much from him, and a club that needs him and wants him' Or words to that effect. Pay day or generally wants loving? Citeh have put an offer on the table as well. Why on earth couldn't we go for him? Honestly, why the fuk not!? (since Ashley is rumoured to be a big fan and wants him as the face of Sports Direct)
-
We need a star, well i think so. Create a massive buzz and a player who can make a real difference, and brings fans and attention with him. I don't mind building a team around one player, it worked wonders with Shearer for several years.
-
Gary Speed. Sure his contracts out at the end of the season and he only on loan at Sheff Utd, with a view to move, i'd bring him in as a coach no problem. Just got this feeling he's going to make a great coach/manager, and we could both help each other getting him to that point.
-
So many players to get rid of. I know he wants for big players, but he needs to replace so many and add the numbers up. Replacements for Shola, Cacapa, Rozy, Carr, another LB, Butt, Duff, Smith are all needed imo. Then we need four big players on top of that. (Butt btw we need a young lad who mirrors his play that can bed in for possibly a years time when Butts contract runs out)
-
He's obviously having some effect, but there's loads of reasons why everything has turned around really, but i feel he must have played his part in this. Saw some small clips of him after he came on board and he was straight in there with the sessions, looked positive even from such small clips.

We already do get the players involved with the local community, provide football pitches in the area, etc etc. This just seemed to be a bold move going that bit further. Incidentally, I too hate that whole sectarian thing in football, but that is about division, this isn't. Putting them in their own seats and stopping the drink is though, well to me it is. I know that's not the idea, but that's in fact what this all leads too. I could see it causing a few problems after a while, just the excuse to put focus on the arseholes in football having a target to shout at when things go wrong. You must know what i mean by that. Media explosion waiting to happen, football the victim. I say get them into football by all means, offer different types of food all around the ground, possibly offer the cheaper tickets for local radius for a one off, but for the love of whatever you god is, do not separate them and do not stop the drink.
-
I'd be pleased we had a shout in the title. PLus me manu supporting mate will be paying for the drinks that night!
-
I agree except I don't mind the idea of cheap tickets as an introductory offer type of thing, so long as it isn't a long-term policy. I'd rather do it for school children who are black, white, muslim, Christian, Jewish or any other religious background etc... but certainly not this. Muslims pay less for their tickets. Fuking hell, things in the UK are going to pot. Just to encourage them to come initially though, like I said. And only tickets that weren't going to be sold anyway. It's actually not that philanthropic since it's about drumming up more business / getting more bums on seats. And if it makes the game more accessible to another aspect of society, all the better. The way they've gone about it is wrong imo. There should be no compromise in football to cater for religion. Instead of a quick fix like this Villa should work on their PR with there locals and get the players involved, hold training sessions with the local kids (meaning everyone) in the summer instead of bending over backwards for Religious taste. I can't stress enough how much i hate Religon interfering in the game, the Cath V Prod pisses me off more than anything, its disgusting.

Fuking hell, things in the UK are going to pot. You're getting it wrong (or maybe i described it badly). The offer was for people living within a certain radius of the ground, regardless of race. It just happens that a sizeable majority of people living within a few streets of Villa Park are going to be muslim. They had the choice to sit elsewhere in the ground, or to use that section of the ground, where booze wouldn't be served, and Halal food would be available. Right, it was the bit where you said for muslim residents around VP and titled the thread 'muslim football fans' that has thrown me that its was about muslims only. If you are going to encourage EVERYONE around the ground to attend matches than fair enough, but it sounds that is not the case putting on special food and catering to Mulsims religious requirements.

Funny how all these Muslims working in and owning restaurants have no problem serving or selling alcohol. Crap idea. Like it or lump it.
-
The food thing - Aye. The no drink thing - no The cheap tickets - Fuk off, no one should be getting special treatment because of their race or religion. They either like the way its done, however adding a menu for them is a great idea, but apart from that why should football grounds change the way they work for religion? There is no place for religion in football, putting them together is a horrible idea. I'd rather have Muslims attending with us next to me and around me than in a section of their own. Horrid, sorry. The Country need a wa to break the segregation, not create more.

I never realised how fast he was until the weekend, i don't know if its an allusion due to his size but fuk me the lad is super quick. Love him, love his attitude, his passion and relation with the crowd, he's put shit loads of effort into that since he's got here, and i simply cannot wait for next season with him on the pitch under a KK team. He's only going to get better, a lot better. The future is Oba.
-
Its nice to have a debatable list, players playing that well that we'd miss them!
-
I wouldn't pay what they paid for him. £10m not a penny more, same goes for Deco, £10m is what he's worth due to his age. Be mint if we could get all three (Ronaldinho as well) would really put us on the map for at least two years anyway, then its passenger time.
-
We will take him off your hands. You can have him for silly money, like £12-15m. He's been s*** bar a few games this season, ironic really because he's now suddenly been latched onto by the media as a quality player. He was far, far better than this for the previous two seasons. His attitude has become terrible all of a sudden, probably believing his own hype or agent talk. I've been saying for a while he is an excellent player and have thought he was one of the few genuinely world class players outside the current top 4. Has he really been that bad? Do you think he just needs a change in scenery? Like maybe a move to a certain part of North London? Yeah, he's been really disappointing bar the odd game. I don't think he'd be interested in North London at all, his head is probably in North Spain. Wouldn't surprise me if he was off there in the summer. He had an argument with a fan in the Park End yesterday. Mate i do apologise but i've fuked you over. Arteta is in my Dream Team, i can only send you my deepest sympathies. Soz like... If he signs for us i'll obvious take him out.
-
He enjoys our love far too much. He's had CL football and lived in a great place, but the 1st team football and the crowd here, for me, i think provides him with what he needs, who knows if he sticks around long enough CL football might be possible here.
-
There are issues with him as everyone has stated, but if it happened i'd be delighted, so would everyone else. There is no perfect player out there who'll want to join us right now, so we've got to go for the ones we can and if Henry, Deco etc...do join us be delighted. I'd like to know how serious these recurring injuries are, crocks are the exact thing we don't need.
-
Have you even seen the game? Edgar was fuking useless for the 1st 20mins, he could have cost us 5 goals easily, good job they were shit or we would have lost because of him. Thought the crowd was excellent though, always back him up ans he grew into the game well enough in the 2nd half. What the hell are you smoking? Yes I was at the game same as every home game and some aways. The lad had a shaky first 5 minutes with one mistake which lead to nothing, and then was no worse than Taylor has been in all of his 100 starts and grew with confidence over the game. Which 5 opportunities did he gift to Reading, because I didn't see them. Don't know which coverage you were watching but it was not the game that I saw. I watched it all from about 10 meters.

Yeah, fortunatley it isn't up to you. You'd keep a £60kpw player who's never fit on the books for what reason? Thank fuk you are nowt special either. Doubt Keegan would sell. He was after Emre when he was at City, what would make him want to offload him for a few million? And where are you quoting £60k a week from? Emre is a good player, but his injury record is disgusting, he has offered near enough nothing since his arrival, and really it was the same at Inter. Summary: Not missed if sold, and put whatever money we can get for him to another palyer who actually makes it onto the field now and then.
