  1. Best plan of action? Throw a shite bid in 48hours before the window closes. I can see the logic in that. Chill out man, they're not playing Football Manager here. At the end of the day, money or not, they still have to try and get players in for as little outlay as possible. Otherwise things could get very silly very quickly. Why when ever someone has fuk all to say about something they respond with FM comments? Thought better of yourself. Anyone who counters a football comment with that drivel is a lost cause imo. Common sense would suggest Barnes is going to fetch a £5m+ price tag, so lets start there and make it quick with 48 hours to go. Its obvious Derby wont stand in their way, its just about the money, so get in quick before others are alerted and we don't have to pay through the nose when offering him a contract for him to choose us over London, because if others do come in, then you will see silly. I find it laughable you're questioning my posting style after your recent attitude mate. You've lost your head this past week or so because we haven't signed somebody, anybody, big or small, black or white... you just want a player in through the doors for the sake of buying, because it's January and the transfer window is open and Keegan is here. Sort it out. Well done for ignoring the crux of my post as well: The £2M fee may not even be accurate, it's in the fucking media for starters and hasn't been quoted by either club, the last offer Derby rejected was £4M from West Ham some time ago, if I'm remembering right, so it'd be odd if we offered half of that - what would have changed? You're stringing the people involved up without knowing the facts though, simply because you're desperate for a signing here, and that's bad craic - more so than a tongue-in-cheek comment from a known FM player to another. Sorry i didn't read it that way, i found it very patronising. I know we've got to watch what we spend, i've said over the window i'd rather miss out on targets than be held over a barrel, but this is a different case all together. We've just alerted the prem to his availability with a seriously cheeky bid, and i bet the NUFC officials knew it had a 95% chance of being blown out of the water, i guess what they didn't expect was Jewell to come out and release a deadline day alert for the rest of the prem to take notice of. If we go back with an improved offer, it certainly wont be the only one now imo, lets just hope Barnes has a soft spot for us, for some reason i think he has, don't know why, maybe his non celebration at the goal he scored against us eases my mind a little. You think i've lost my head now? God forbid we lose out on Barnes for the simple fact we pussy footed around with stupid money, fractions of what it cost to get rid of Allardyce, my head will probably burst and you won't have to put up with me anymore anyway.

  4. Sounds like its just a matter of money, can't believe were fuking about with daft bids when the window is almost shut, fuking morons tbh. If you want the player then go fuking get him, stop fuking about with a bids that you know will be laughed at.
  5. Until Allardyce gets another job anyway... We will make money off it so i'm not worried.
  6. more speculation. i read he'd be able to split his time between tyneside and buckinghamshire. you don't really needto be on tyneside to check on a player in france. That's what i'm getting at. KK is going to be with the team, while DW is going to be away trying to help improve our crop of youth, with minimal contact up here in the NE, even when he does it will just be to put a players case forward to KK and or to bring a player to him. DW is a glorified Benson, nothing more, tea boy, monkey butler, whichever suits you sir.
  7. FFS he's going to be based in London, how on earth is that going to effect KK all the way down there? Bunch of fuking muppets man.
  8. Still not bad. If he doesn't do that great then we don't pay much more than £2 million. If he does really well then we won't be too upset to pay up to £6 million, which really isn't that bad. Not bad? Its great. I'd pay the full £6m upfront if i was KK in his situation, no way is he not worth it, so much in front of him as well. This seasons Ashley Young begging for someone to take a chance on him. Bring him in.
  9. No! we can't take a risk, the club will come falling down around us if we do!
  10. £2m with a boat lad of addons going way past £6m btw.
  11. There isn't time remember. KK has to vet all players individually which will take the best part of the next decade. We don't need to be rash etc..yada yada.. lol Yes no point in signing players now and taking a gamble, we might as well wait 5 years to get people in, do with what we've got as they are great. KK needs to have a Czech season ticket and attended at least 50 of their games to figure out if this guy is a good player first. We might get him in before he retires with a bit of luck.
  12. Fuk me my eyes hurt reading that then coming back on here.
  13. £4m, solid fee for someone so young. We could do with some luck, let this be it.
  14. Is this one of the new continental era signings? Going to be hard to pull the lad away from Juve with Nedved there, but he'll have a tough job breaking through, and i doubt Nedved will be there much longer anyway. Young, attacking, highly rated, just what we need. Seriously hope this is true, and hope we bring him in before the window. Is a fee mentioned at all?
  15. I wonder if Tony Jimenez, a property developer, may in fact have a look at a ground expansion, or even the plans that were going to come in before the takeover, it would be great to see that get back on track, not just for the club, but for the City.
  16. Well the previous setup we've had for several decades hasn't worked so lets try this then.
  17. Its what Sven did, but then again i do live next door to him. Not in January with the end of the window looming and three big games to prepare for he didn't. Sven's first signing was actually Bianchi. Whoops. A player Speccy reckons they made money on. Aye big whoops isn't it. And if you are happy to go into those games with tried failures in the middle then more fool you.

  19. When you've got fuk all its worth taking a reasonable risk on someone, Barnes, Arshivan is a reasonable risk imo. Most of those duds have come as very good palyers who've done well in the league and look how that turned out. How is Arshavin or whatever his name is a "reasonable risk", can you explain that to me? Short of you being a *insert name of whoever the hell he plays for here* season ticket holder on the sly or at least having some sort of subscription to The Ruski Channel, I fail to see how you could possibly know that. Done well in Europe (nearly one in two in the Eufa cup) and NT level and has interested a lot of top clubs in Europe, some a lot bigger than ourselves, that's how its a reasonable risk. Every player is a risk FFS, surely a one with obvious talent isn't so much of one? So you need to attend 50 games to have an opinion on a player? You've just described Albert Luque there, you realise that? The UEFA Cup is fucking shit mate, you know that as well as I do. Until the quarters, you play teams from Israeli mountain villages. Let's say he turns out to be shit, hardly out of the realms of possibility, KK's spent £10m on him, do you think Ashley's going to be overjoyed when he comes for more money in four months and Keegan says "Sorry, but he looked good on a video"? Also describes Elano.

  22. Was just an example, but tbh, if he hasn't seen him play then he has no business in managing a premiership football club. I'm sure he knows who he is, he just doesn't want to take a chance, i think we should, it can't harm us much. Have a word man. If KK hasn't even requested a video of him then he's not the man for the job. We need attacking players, KK wants attacking football, he's one player everyone knows is available, if he hasn't watched him since become NUFC boss then he wants a kick up the arse. Requested a video of him? How does "everyone" know he's available? I've got news for you: not everyone frequents internet forums where people pretend to be experts about players from all over the world. 99% of Newcastle fans won't have ever heard his name. Keegan's been in the job a week and he's supposed to know enough to be prepared to spunk £10m or whatever on a Russian based on nowt but a video and the Sky Sports website bullshit mill? Seriously, has everyone on this forum lost their mind? Wow more than one line in a post from Wullie, have an aspirin and lie down it must of hurt. The lad himself has said he wants to 'move to England' so that's the player covered. His chairman has said he wants him to stay but cannot stop him and have actually 'handed over power of attorney so that we can let an English agency do the serious negotiations' These are actual quotes not shit made up btw, so the player is available, so get off your fuking high horse. One line? What on Earth are you gibbering about now? So KK should sign him because he's available? Glad we've cleared that up. Maybe we should get Luque back for another £10m, he's probably available too. Yes that's exactly what i said. There are plenty of players out there, like i said before we've played it too safe and ended up with nothing. I think something is better than nothing, stop gaps, loans, right now we need all the help we can get. You don't have to buy a player for life either, they can be moved on when they've done their required job. We've got the money to take a chance, we should of done that this window. I personally now hope the Barnes deal has more substance than usual, if we manage to bring him in i'd be delighted, another player with talent and available at the right price. That's assuming KK has seen the player play and rates him of course.

No denying that's a strong possibility, but he was one player used as an example, nothing more than that, i can only go on what i know, not pulling random names out of a hat. To say there are no players out there that are right for this club is silly, we've just played it far too safe.
