You think the Spain Friendly is more important than the next 12 games? Did i say that? Did i even mention that? I was referring to the part where he's angry at Carr's injury, and we are all buzzing about it. Out of touch.

His fury comes just 24 hours before Scott Parker and Kieron Dyer play for England in a friendly with Spain and on the night that top scorer Oba Martins goes into a grudge match at Brentford for Nigeria against Ghana. The knock sustained in training means Carr (pictured) could be out for a month - but for Roeder the loss of the full-back is simply the straw that broke the camel's back after enduring a rough time with his international players. The Toon boss has been without Michael Owen for the whole season due to his knee injury in the World Cup, while Steven Taylor's campaign last year was also decimated by a shoulder problem suffered after colliding with Carlton Cole in training for the England Under-21s. And a furious Roeder told the Chronicle today: "Newcastle United have been punished terribly with injuries due to international football. "We cannot put a world-class striker in Michael Owen on the team sheet because of his World Cup injury. "Steven Taylor returned last season from Under-21 duty and had to have his shoulder practically sewn back on. "And now we have lost Stephen Carr for up to a month with a thigh injury. "We have been wounded this season. "Even one of our fringe players, Alan O'Brien, has gone away three times and twice he has returned injured. "We have just worked patiently with Stephen for three months, and after three games back for us he is flying home on the plane after one session with the Republic of Ireland before their Euro game with San Marino. "The club doctor Roddy McDonald actually told me to sit down and take a deep breath when he told me that Stephen had got injured. It made me so angry - and I'm still angry. "When I was working as an England staff member we had numerous disagreements in the club v country row. "Back then I thought that the club managers were being unfair to their country. "But now I know exactly what they mean - I have gone 100% the other way. It is unfair. "You could say that Alan Pardew would still have his job at West Ham if there weren't so many friendlies that don't mean that much. "He lost Dean Ashton in August because of the friendly with Greece, and that has been a massive factor." Roeder refused to use the injury list at Newcastle for their mediocre campaign so far, and insisted he has battled on without moaning about all the injuries sustained in club football. Indeed, the Carr incident is a perfect example of exactly why the United boss is so unhappy with the injuries he can do nothing about. He added: "If players get injured at Newcastle, in training or a match, I don't have a problem with that. "I haven't moaned once about our injury list because they have come while players have been on club duty. "I have taken it on the chin. "But when a player gets sent back after international duty injured, we have to pick up the pieces. "We are trying to push up the Premiership table in our game against Liverpool already with 10 injuries. "There is too much money involved in the Premiership now and too much at stake to lose players due to international friendlies. "For five months we have battled with injuries and now after finally getting down to single figures we are back up to 10 because of Stephen's thigh injury. "I am sure the Newcastle fans agree with me when I say that our last 12 games in the Premiership are more important than an England friendly with Spain." -------------------------------------------------------------------------- GR, you sometimes amaze how fuking thick you are, you are so out of touch with the fans you belong on the board.

So what does everyone think of the takeover? It will get them a new stadium at least, meaning the turnover will be greater in the future. But apart from that i cant see them getting huge amounts of money every season to spend, but i reckon it will take them closer to Chelsea & Manu in the next season or so, i expect a decent initial investment in to the team in the summer, exciting times for Liverpool fans, i just think the new owner are dodgy, both been bankrupt, and not so long ago, one of them caught up in a pay scandel and the other has backed one of the most dangerous men in the world in to power, and paid for him to do so. This shows they've made bad judgment calls in the past, but we all learn from our mistakes, but the fans will expect massive investment in the team, and will be dissapointed when they dont receive it.

Shame, i hoped for a 'career' threatening injury.
-
Net debt, they owe much more than that, £88m IIRC. Still a good deal, although their stadium is worth nothing, we are valued around the £100m mark by FS & the Halls, its was the land deal that bumped it up again, IIRC. , and it was only in that ball park with the joint Casino deal thing, which isn't happening, best we can hope for is a hotel.

He was a quality player at Spurs before he got that bad injury. To blame it all on one injury is too easy, and no doubt thats what he's doing in his mind. His attitude is disgusting, he could easily get himself fitter and improve his game but he doesn't have the drive to succeed. He thinks at his age there is nothing left for him to learn, unfortunately for him there are 19 year olds out there with more footballing knowledge than him, he should retire. I'm just saying he was good prior to that. I'm not defending him now, I think he's taking the piss here. We should never have bought him though. He'd been average at Spurs for a while prior to our signing him. No no, not having a crack at you, i've heard 100's of people say the same thing about the injury (and i also believe the little wanker thinks it himself), including Spurs fans & Irish fans, but for me its not good enough. You just have to look at Shearer for a complete comparison to the little cunt, there was someone with drive, someone who cared about his career and the football he played.

A class above what we've got, but not the man i'd want here. We cannot afford to take a chance with our next appointment, i think he would be a risk, his personality is questionable & although he's shown he can adapt in the past, we would require someone on the ball from the start, we couldn't afford a transitional period, the fans would barely allow it, and the pace clubs evolve in the EPL we could go backwards beyond repair within a season (He'd want big wages, and big money to spend on players, and if it went wrong, he misjudged or had really bad luck and were in the position to sack him, instead of being £80m in debt, we'd be £100m+ and in the same position now, maybe worse). We could easily be re-ignited and sort it all out, but its 50-50 for me if he can do it with us.

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=446394&CPID=219&clid=359&lid=2&title=Scolari+eyes+English+move&channel=football_home& Scolari eyes English move By Peter ORourke - Created on 6 Feb 2007 Portugal boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has admitted he would like to work in England in the future. Scolari came close to succeeding Sven Goran Eriksson as England coach last year before pulling out of the move because of the media scrutiny he found himself under. The Brazilian World Cup winner is currently in England with Portugal as he prepares them for a glamour friendly with his home nation and he admits he is attracted by the possibility of working in England. "I would like to work in England," said Scolari. "The involvement from everyone in the game is spectacular. It is a country which is very interested in football and any coach would want to work there. "I have trained in Japan, Arabia, Kuwait, Brazil and Portugal and can adapt to any place. It depends on the proposal and offer that is made to me, the financial rewards and the standard of living. "I have a contract with Portugal and want to help them qualify for the Euro 2008 finals, but if we don't manage to achieve that, it will not be a good situation. "After that period I want to remain in Europe for another four or five years because my family are stable. "I don't know where I will go in the future."

Woody denies, thought this would happen.
-
Its said Madrid and Boro have agreed the sale on SSN's, does this mean Woody hasn't actually agreed terms yet, or just worded wrongly? Shame for the lad if he does join, he could be playing for a real football club.

A sign of no money being made available in the summer as well. I wouldn't mind if its going to pay off some of the debts we have, but we all know its going to the FS & Halls retirement fund.
-
Talk about games being played behind closed doors for the rest of the season. I think that would be appropriate punishment, but still is not a solution to the problem.
-
'yo mama?' You sad little individual.
-
No need for 2 years, NUFC have found another level of stupidity.
-
If we do then the situation is obviously different. My argument was about the pathetic non-injuries that are used by clubs to worm their players out of international duty. I agree, very Fergie of GR to do this. I'd just get to the point and tell him and the Nigerian FA he's not going to play in some meaningless friendly while were struggling for bodies. Club before Country, we pay his wages, we cannot afford to lose him.
-
Don't we have a right to say no to friendly call ups? If so fuk off.

I would say these lot get the credit and praise they deserve.
